The wife and I were driving cross country after attending our son's wedding in New Mexico and decided to stop and see the sights in San Antonio. This hotel looked easy to get to so we gave it a try. ||||We should have known to turn right around and head back to the car when the folks on the second floor asked us if we were moving in or staying the night. Not ones to be daunted we decided to look at this as an adventure which is just a nice way of saying we were too tired to keep driving.||||I'll say this--the housekeepers had done a first rate job with trying to clean the bathroom. However, they overlooked the cat feces in the corner and with that little discovery we were out of there. Tired or not we left in search of better accommodations.||||Unfortunately, the man at the front desk refused to return our money despite only being inside the room for less than 15 minutes so we stopped payment on the card. Then we traveled on til we found a clean, comfortable hotel on the other...

But upset to see the online price was not what I was told at the desk but for check in with no reservation at 10pm in ne San Antonio, I couldn't complain. Gentleman at the desk was superb, and wanted us to check the room before he charged me. I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were not only clean, stocked and well kept, but even the smoking room smelled nice. They only have 2 double occupancy rooms, so it was a bit tight with the 2 double beds, but completely do-able. We will be staying here again, the rates and quality of this little motel far exceed any of its surrounding competition. A definitive diamond in the rough. One negative, very few outlets, and the ones built into the lamps are for show as none of them work.. but the fridge and microwave and nice tv make...
Read moreI was not sure what I'd find by staying at a motel on the Northeast side of San Antonio and at first glance I was rather worried about my choice. Never could I have been so wrong. New paint, sinks/faucets, carpet with new microwave & frige, room was nice size and clean. Exactly what you want when you travel. The location was perfect to the freeways 410 & I-35 and the owners were so nice. I really like the parking in the rear near the room. Quiet area with convenience stores and gasoline nearby. Two adults two nights with king bed for $60 per night. The one bad point was the room had a solid window that couldn't be opened and I like some fresh air from time to time so we had to run the AC on fan only to circulate the air which was no problem. If you want a place with good location, clean room and a quiet good nights sleep this might be the place for you. We found it to be more than...
