Right off the bat, I have to say I have been here several times. It is a nice little dump with bad parking and is usually busy in the morning. I've never actually reviewed this restaurant. This is a first. I had the Huevos con calquier carne which essentially is eggs your way two of them, your choice of meat, refried beans, breakfast potatoes, corn or flour tortillas (2). I like my eggs over medium and I love Beef Tongue, Lengua, with flour tortillas, chopped onions and cilantro. First of all, the food came out piping hot and the tortillas were wonderfully fresh and hot. The eggs were perfect, over medium, and the refried beans were very very tasty. It was a large platter. The tongue was absolutely wonderful very beefy flavored and great on a tortilla with a mixture of the other items on the platter. It was a great breakfast and well worth the money. You also could choose from three different hot sauces for the meal. Truthfully it was great. Unfortunately, I also judge a breakfast by the coffee and I'm going to tell you they need to change their coffee as soon as possible. It is not strong and tastes watery. Leave it at that. I help watch everything down with a Topo Chico. With tip and the topo Chico and coffee, it came to about $23. Would I come back definitely. It really reminds me of a little taqueria in Mexico except for...

UPDATE:

It's been a few months and my family and I still come here at least twice a week, typically for breakfast. The breakfast tacos are a great deal and that's what my husband often gets. I love the pork chop breakfast special and the chilequiles, though today for breakfast I ordered the green enchiladas and my husband got the carne guisada. We repeated our very first order and it was still fantastic. Our adult son got the chilequiles today, and as always, he said they were fantastic.

I'm so happy we live so close and they are so consistently delicious! We moved to San Antonio from another state 4 days ago and popped in 3 days ago because it's near our new home. It was so delicious that we've been back 2 more times. Yep. 3 times in 3 days!

The flour tortillas are the best I've ever had from any restaurant, the corn tortillas look yummy, too, but we haven't tried them yet.

The green enchiladas made me happy after a long move. Spicy and flavorful and just plain old comforting. The guidasa is a pure delight, and the chilequiles hit the spot this morning. The refried beans are perfection.

It's a small place that gets busy for lunch, but they keep up. Lots of drive through and takeout orders, but this is a solid sit-down fast casual restaurant. Every bite of every meal reminded me of my grandparents, and I'm so happy...

If I could give them 0 starts I would! Worst service and food ever! I ordered the burrito which comes with rice, beans, sour cream, guacamole and salad. I specifically told the lady no salad but everything else is fine and I asked for it to be wrapped in foil. Easy instructions right?! I guess not. I get home to find out that they didn't add any sour cream or guacamole, as advertised on their menu, and the tortilla was over toasted and hard! I asked for a burrito not a tostada! Because they over toasted the tortilla the cook couldn't even wrap it properly, worst wrapped burrito I've ever seen. I called them to let them know and the lady tells me, "If you want to come back we can give you some sour cream and guac". I told her the food was going to get cold by the time I went back just for some sour cream and guac and that I wanted my money back instead. I go to take the food back and get my refund and no apology or anything. No shame. This place is an embarrassment. These people don't care at all about customer service or making quality food. Lousy service. Don't even bother y'all. What a...

The first time I ate at this family owned restaurant restaurant was in 2006. Since then I’ve had everything on the menu. But my favorite by far and I think they have the best in town, are their asada tortas. Back then this place had great food, but they were literally a hole in the wall. They’ve done many improvements to the interior and exterior new signage. Bathrooms are better better heating and AC. They’ve done a ton of improvements to the building. And every time I eat here, I buy 16 ounces of their ranchero sauce. So freaking delicious!!! I know I’ve ate at least 400 tortas here. Check it out see if I’m wrong. Gabi, Liz & Jenny Doing an awesome job every time I’m in here very friendly helpful polite talkative nice people. If you like tortas, You should check them out. And now I’m told they have a tortilla factory here as well so you can get fresh tortillas to take home. What a deal.

Clean small hole in the wall place. Servers were friendly although service was okay. They didnt check on us. Everytime we needed something we had to get up and ask the server. My boyfriend ordered the caldo de rez. Flavor was good but the vegetables were still hard and the meat had too much fat. He could not eat it. I ordered 2 tacos. One bean, cheese with 3 strips of bacon taco and the other taco of beef fajitas with avocado. The tortillas were thin .I like fluffy. Fajitas were grilled with bell pepper and onions which had a good flavor...that filled the taco. Portion size was good and contents were abundant. I like that! Beans were a little too salty for my taste buds. All in all...this place was okay.

I have to say I'm severely disappointed. If I could give 0 stars I would. My husband, son, and I went here for lunch and my husband found a hair in his food. I immediately asked for a manager and a lady came out and said it wasn't a hair from a person it was part of the pepper. I went to the register to pay because I was frustrated that we didn't get so much as an apology but basically called a liar and then when they ran my card there was an additional fee that I wasn't aware of because I used a card! Sodas don't have free refills and a 12oz can of soda is $1.75. I'll never be back and if anybody ever asks me about this place I'll tell them to run in the opposite direction.
