I posted this on Yelp but I thought I’d add it here as well.
I just moved into a new apartment and needed a sofa. All the major retailers around the area have 7+ week delivery time frames due to "COVID." I'm not joking.
I didn't have high expectations when I stopped by yesterday morning. This biz is in a nondescript warehouse-type building in an semi-industrial area. To be honest, it looks really sketchy from the outside.
But don't be fooled.
I walked in and was greeted immediately. The person just said hello. There was no pressure sales tactics. I went around their showroom for a few minutes. Found a sofa I liked. It wasn't marked, so I asked the gentleman how much. There was nothing fancy about it--just a regular sofa that seemed comfortable for $450 which was in the lower end of what I was willing to spend. So I told him I'd take it.
I asked if they delivered. He apologized and said they couldn't deliver on the same day but had a slot the next day. Remember: every BIG chain in the area had a 7 week minimum delivery estimate.
So I paid & left. Whole process took 15 min. There was an $80 delivery charge.
He gave me a window between 11-3pm. Unlike Spectrum, they actually showed up. The guys with the truck called me at 12pm to let me know they were 15 min out. In short order, the two guys brought the couch up 3 flights of stairs & had the couch put together within 20 mins.
In addition to sofas, they had a nice selection of beds, chairs, and end tables as well.
Everything was efficient and easy. The couch is a couch. It's comfortable. I would 100% buy from...
Read moreLee was a very big help in getting us the furniture we wanted, showing us tons of options at an affordable price. Very great experience here. Thank you Lee... Edit turns out my experience turned from good to bad they will not make due on any of their promises I bought a couch there that was supposed to be delivered this Saturday MAY 8TH so me and my wife requested days off from work just for them to tell me that my couch is now pushed back to June and they took 300 dollars out of my account last night so im literally paying for a couch that I don't even have. First impressions are definitely not everything. Lee basically lied about everything ...he was just trying to pocket the money with little lies and sweet talk like any greedy salesman. I requested a refund today so ill be back to post what happens UPDATE: Ron from another store ended up helping us we settled with him. We may not have gotten all the furniture we wanted exactly but he offered us other furniture that was also nice and looks great in our apartment. Thanks again Ron for cleaning up the mess that was made. All in all they tried their best to correct the...
Read moreWhen I 1st got the furniture I was so very happy. But, right now I am 2 days late and AcceptanceNow_the finance company for the rent to own furniture has already called 10 times. This started about 6 months into the contract. I have yet to go 30 days over on my contract & get awful calls_supposedly even from an "area manager", etc., I simply tell them, "You did not treat me like this when I went to buy and was referred to you for the finance and you approved it_Why are you treating me like that, now? I have not defaulted on your loan. Please let me just deal with Atlanta, GA if any calls_But, this needs to stop. I have been told things like, "Our collections department and automation are not 1, etc., My work depends on me answering my phone. My ability to be able to pay depends on me answering the phone. I know you worked with people who were more than 30 days late due to Covid19 all last year. This is unnecessary. I know it is not the fault of Mattress and Furniture For Less_ and I want to write that on here, too. But, there is no need for...
