This is the worst place EVER!!! If you have a room booked here, I advise that you cancel and find another place. I HAD to find a place because our AC went out and 97degrees in our home. The overnight front desk is rude!! Before going I called and no one answered. When someone did answer, they hung up immediately. I should have known how bad it was going to be at that point but it was 2am and my kids couldn't sleep.i got there and the clerk said there was $100 deposit. IF he would have answered the phone when I called I would have known that...so, he took my card and gave it back. (While i was checking in the phone was ringing and he picked up and hung up. I asked him if he has the receipt so i can sign it. He said he didnt run it and ONLY HAD IT ON FILE. When i got to the room I received a text from MC that my card was charged! We got to our room and it smelled like smoke. I was ok having to put up with the smoke smell but then We checked for bed bugs and stains on the sheets, as I do EVERYWHERE I go. There were stains on the sheets. Idk if it was blood or rust?!?? I call down and the clerk did give us a different room, however, he went to check the room and got upset because the bed was not made. I told him we pulled the sheets to check to bed bugs and stains. He asked...did you find beg bugs? I answered no BUT we found stains. He asked again why I did that and I explained again adding he should check for those things when he travels as well. He said not to ever do that again and it's unacceptable. He said now housekeeping will have to fix it....it was an unmade bed!!! BIG DEAL!!! He walked away mumbling in his native language. Then this morning, I went down to get breakfast. They had cereal but no milk, muffins, green water in the food warmer that SHOULD be where the eggs and sausage should go...gross!!! There was another guest asking the front desk clerk where the eggs and sausage were. Even though the clerk was standing up he totally ignored him. THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!!!! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE IF YOU CAN...

This hotel was so bad, it was basically a glorified motel. Not worth the money at all. The staff was not helpful and did not seem to care about satisfying their customers. Every time I needed something, I had to wait (up to 10 mins at one point) for someone to just show up to the front desk. No bell or anything either to alert the employees that someone is waiting for them at the front desk. When we checked-in, the concierge failed to inform us about the breakfast or the wifi information. The room was supposed to be non-smoking, and so was the entire hotel for that matter, but the room smelled like cigarette smoke. We got in pretty late, so we slept the first night and then informed the front desk in the morning. They did absolutely nothing about it. When we called Priceline about it, they were of no help either. The Priceline representative actually hung up the phone in the middle of the interaction when trying to resolve it. Anyway, Priceline and the hotel refused to refund us our money DESPITE THE COMPLETELY FALSE ADVERTISING ABOUT BEING NON-SMOKING AND HAVING A ROOM SMELL LIKE CIGARETTE SMOKE (WHICH CAN BE DETRIMENTAL TO A GUESTS' HEALTH). The breakfast was below subpar. There was hardly any selection of food and they never replaced it once it was finished, even if breakfast hours were still in effect (in a completely booked hotel, mind you). They turned off the lights in the dining area as soon as breakfast hours terminated, even when 3 separate parties (including myself) were still eating in the dining area. Just do yourself a favor and stay away from this hotel (and this is all coming from someone who spent $70/night to sleep in the Tenderloin of San Francisco with roaches. Yes, it was that bad). Not worth it, not even in...

In summary: the room was filthy when I walked in!! I’ve never seen anything like it before. No blankets or pillows on the bed. Black long hair clogged the sink and was on the walls of the shower with clumps of mud around the sink and shower. There was no complimentary soap or anything. The floor wasn’t even swept!! Plus it smells like cigarettes and mildew.

I was too tired to even get up to go try to argue a new room but in the morning when I went to turn in my key, the guy in front of me was complaining about his room he just checked into being filthy as well!!!

I stayed in room 221. I don’t recommend staying here unless you book it online and have the energy to ensure the room is cleaned.

The staff is kind, that’s the only thing they have going for them.

I’ve never left a negative review before but people need to know.

I wish I took pictures BUT I got to San Antonio late due to travel delays and checked into this hotel at midnight.

Online the price was listed at $60 after the handling and cleaning fee, they couldn’t find my reservation though and I was too tired to drive in the thunder and light night to another hotel so i just booked a room with them in person which cost $80.

I was fine with the price because I’d been traveling all day and feeling sick.

The lady at the front desk was helpful and kind but that was the only good thing about this hotel.

Save yourself and your money.

PLUS- when I showed them my reservation, they said they didn’t have the reservation even though I gave my confirmation number and I ended up paying twice for the worst hotel I’ve ever been too.

AND I’ve traveled across countries and all through the states. THE...

We enjoyed staying here at this hotel. I felt safe with the property being gated and fully equipped with surveillance cameras throughout the parking lot and in the hallways. The pool was warm and clean when we used the pool. Breakfast was a mix of eggs, sausage, texas shaped waffles, oj, apple juice, cereal, and muffins. It is situated very close to the airport but the landing and departing aircraft do not spoil the stay unless you sleep through the day. Landing aircraft were my morning alarm clock begining without fail at 7am and last landing aircraft was at about 9pm. There were absolutely no landing or departing aircraft between 9pm and 7am which allowed for a good night rest. We could not hear any departing aircraft at all inside our room only while we were at the pool. 10 mins from Morgans wonderland and the Alamo. 15 mins from Fiesta Texas. This hotel had no elevator and each stair way is on either end of the building which was a downer for me. Based on the service of the staff, breakfast, the security of the heavy surveillance camera presence, a gated property with only one entrance and exit access to parking lot and the entertainment of planes landing when out by the pool; I would stay here again.

Upon check-in found hair in sink among other funk, shower head was broken, and mold under caulk at the base of the shower. Also found a greasy substance on nightstand, perhaps lubrication for all I know! It was a late check with an early rise so decided to stay put. Upon check-out the following morning I informed the desk agent of the findings. I was told to call the manager later in the day. Upon speaking to the manager who seemed more interested in spewing excuses than accepting responsibility! According to him the room was unkept because of short staff. I proceeded to tell him if he can't manage adequately block the room, or close the fuc*king hotel. Instead they continue to KNOWINGLY re-issue rooms that are filthy and unacceptable for paying customers. I cannot help but think that more excuses will be coming soon from the properties response to save whatever face they have left! Would not recommend this NASTY hotel!!!

Long story short, this place needs a good cleaning.... the rooms look decent from pictures and what's posted online but in reality it's quite dirty. I didn't feel comfortable walking on the hotel floors barefoot. The bottoms of out feet would turn black and pick up crumbs, hair, and god knows what. The beds were decent. I, luckily, didn't have any stains but I did find burn holes and some hairs. There were dead bugs in corners, dust on furniture that made it look like it hasn't been cleaned since 1980. Bathroom had stains on walls and the smallest shampoo bottle I've ever seen. Overall, its not a bad hotel... it's just dirty. I had high hopes since it was a best Western but this is no best Western.
