Dissatisfied and will not be staying there again. This was our second stay at this motel, while vacationing. I enjoyed the first stay. The room was nice and clean and seemed to be remodeled, we had no issues. This time we were put in a run down room across the parking lot. I made a reservation online for four nights and after arriving, cost was increased by $36 due to “changing rates”. Arrived to our room and the first thing I noticed was that the white walls were dirty and are in dire need of a fresh coat of paint. The pop up sink plug/stopper was broken and needs to be reattached to the handle, in order to be lifted up and down to plug the drain. Had to remove the plug out from the drain to allow the sink to drain. There was a significant gap in the front door and you could see through the gap and into the parking lot. The bath tub was dirty looking and had slight mildew along the corners etc. There were guys hanging out outside drinking and looking like creepsters. Some were hanging out on the balcony drinking and being kind of loud. Another guy was leaning on his truck, drinking and staring at my family as we were unloading our luggage. On our first night, we discovered sand in our bedsheets and had to shake out the sheets. The next theee nights were no different. There were still traces of sand in the sheets, indicating that the maid failed to change the sheets. On the second day, my family and I returned back to our room around 3pm, from a day at the beach, to shower and clean up. The maid knocked on our door and indicated that she wanted to clean the room. There was a communication barrier, due to the maid being Spanish speaking only. I tried to explain that my wife was taking a shower at the time. The maid left and not much sooner, the telephone inside our room began to ring. It was the front desk guy telling me that if we wanted maid service, then we would have to clear the room immediately, or else the maid would go home for the day and we wouldn’t get maid service. I told him that my wife was showering and that we would be out in about 10 minutes or so. The guy got kinda pushy and started to explain that our room was the last room to be cleaned and that the maid wanted to go home. He asked again “so you think another ten minutes?” I told him we would try to hurry. Next time, I will be spending a little more coin on a nicer hotel room, or maybe even a beach...
Read moreI stayed here for just over a week. Yes its an older place. I found the area not great. Yes you get what you pay for. In no way was the hotel or the staff impolite. I found all staff very polite and helpful. Housekeeping here is awesome. The staff was a pleasure to deal with. My once concern was a hood family obviously living there. Adults and kids and they treated Motel 6 like their very own personal home. Chairs from the Motel placed outside, people sitting in this ghetto mobile outside the room CONSTANTLY at all hours, as well as the guests from that room sitting outside on the curb outside their room like they were in their own yard was honestly was a bit much on the nerves. One lady from that room yelled at my cab driver when he turned around in the parking lot ! For what ? Absolutely NOTHING ! To be honest those people creeped me right out. That area has great bus routes, a good pizza place across the street, and two convenience stores across the street too. If you need to do laundry there is a Laundromat half a block up the street and more places to eat too. No I don't blame Motel 6 for these people and honestly I was too afraid to say anything. I was alone and I don't need trouble of any kind. I DID pretend someone was IN the room each time I left I would yell "I'll see you later call me if you need anything !" (loudly and I switched it up each time !!) Just so the hood people would not know I was all alone. It was pretty clear they were watching everything. Again GREAT staff. I cannot say enough nice things about them. What do they say "Life is like a box of chocolates you never know what you will get" Yes THIS unfortunately was one if those...
Read moreThis hotel is not a place to stay, especially if you have children. This hotel is infested with drugs and drug addicts all hours of the night.I was even worried about my car. The staff accused me of having an extra child in which they knew I had ONLY 2 because I stayed there for a week, and being handicapped my children often helped and went to office when needed. Also, I do not smoke and neither do my children. I was accused of it smelling like smoke, although when I booked it i booked NON SMOKING. They discriminate on any basis, they are rude, negligent absolutely mean and have no hospitality morals or proper way to conduct business. The housekeepers got upset when I asked for rags to clean my car after being parked under a bird nest and my car getting covered in #2. I was told it was ok by front desk when I asked. She still did not like it that I was cleaning my car off after she refused to give me a rag the first time. I sensed racism, hatred, DISCRIMINATION, and we were treated with false accusations, rudely and unfairly, and it's just wrong the way the staff treat people and represent the company. Never ever treated this way, and it was wrong. DON'T STAY HERE UNLESS YOU LIKE DRUGS AND BEING TREATED LIKE LESS OF A PERSON OR BENETHE PEOPLE, LIKE YOU ARE NOTHING! BECAUSE THIS HOTEL AND STAFF ARE LIKE THAT! TWO THUMBS DOWN! WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE, NOT EVEN A...
