Service desk is going to be hit or miss. It was early and asked if there were any rooms to check in. I was told it would cost me $35 dollars.
Rooms are spacious with sitting area. Nice and modern. Nice shower. My toilet moved when I sat on it, but it flushed so they was fine.
I had an interview set at 11am. When I talked to the night guy he suggested I either pay for an extra hour or come down to the lobby and use the Internet.
The front desk the following day was super accommodating and even asked me how long my interview might go for. I told him 30 minutes but sometimes those things go longer. He told me good luck and to put the do not disturb sign on the door so cleaning would not enter and to call when I was done.
Wow! What great person! I also got the job
Didn't have time to check out the gym or pool but from pictures people posted looked nice.
Walls are decent... I did wake up to some lady next to me as she yelled at someone to wake up.
I would recommend this place if you have family visiting. It's modern. It's nice and it would break the bank.
And their AC isn't locked. It was 100 degree day and my room was a nice 68 :).
House keeping is super nice too. I wanted to tip them and the lady refused. I handed it to her again and she just moved out the way and the money fell to the floor. I asked another lady to please give it to the woman to cleaned my room. Again I left money and my room was cleaned and called up house keeping to ask whoever cleaned my room to come back and get the tip.
That job is hard. I use to do custodial work and threw out my back in 6 months ... When she finally came back she took the tip and kept asking me if I needed cleaning or more items. I told her no. She was a bit confused so idk if people don't tip here but unlike as other places they don't slam the door or make tons of noise
Big TV and it swivels...
Read moreStayed in Courtyard Marriott San Ramon for two nights last month. Even while checking in, I faced a procedural issue, as my colleague made a reservation on my behalf in the military quota (incorrectly) which seems to operate on an entirely different rate structure. I acknowledged the mistake made by my colleague when I checked in, and the person at the front desk did not raise any alarm and allowed me to check in at the same rate. However, as soon as I checked into my room, I received a call from the front desk suggesting an alternate rate which is more than double the reserved rate. I agreed to paying the rate.
Now, paying an exorbitant rate you feel entitled to few basic things. To my dismay, I found the room lacked a refrigerator and even a micro oven. I am not sure if this is common for hotels in San Ramon, but I have travelled enough and I got better amenities even at 70% of the rate I paid at this place. The bathroom did not even a proper towel rod – which was broken.
And the following morning, I stepped out with anticipation and a sense of entitlement to be rudely reminded by the lady by the Bistro that my reservation doesn’t entail a complimentary breakfast. And for the first time in my life, I bought breakfast! I bought lunch and dinner for family and friends. But buying ‘breakfast’ at a four-star hotel for your own sounds cheap. So, when I enquired at the front desk, she gave me lesson about how Monday to Wednesday are amongst the busiest days and rates could have higher than what I paid and even those higher rates don’t guarantee a complimentary breakfast.
I will not recommend Courtyard Marriott for short term business trips...
Read moreThis hotel is very conveniently located in San Ramon. We were in town visiting my aging in laws who are residents at the Ivy. Very easy access to highway and shopping. My issues were the noise on the side facing highway 680. We booked a suite which was great, but the traffic noise was awful. We were both up all night. The next am we told the gentleman at the desk about the noise and he moved us to other side of the hotel. The noise was much better. My second issue was though the desk clerk told us he would take care of adjusting the charges, we found out on check out, that they were never adjusted to the lower rate. The clerk said she would talk to the manager and they would call to follow up. No call and no rate adjustment. I called two days later as my cc had been charged without any change to charges. Once again, I was assured I would get an email within 10 minute. NOPE!!!!! Not so much.Had to go the corporate website to finally get the rate adjusted. So aggravating. Who wants to spend time chasing down things that should have been taken care of when they said they would. Very disappointing. My last issue and the most egregious!! No free coffee in the lobby???? If you're going to charge these rates, this should be a given. The worst part is that the hotel is actually very nice with updated rooms. But back to the Hyatt...
