Such a fun experience. My daughter really loves race car games and has wanted to try out these simulators for a while. To my surprise I found one not too far from where we live (I think I saw it on Facebook or instagram)... anyhow we stopped by yesterday and had a blast. I think it was Bill (I'm horrible with names) was friendly and informative, he asked us which simulators we wanted, there wasn't a huge price difference between the two so we opted for the haptic ones (go big or go home). We booked a 30 min session and because I didn't book in advance had to wait a bit but we just went and grabbed some lunch but it wasn't a big deal at all. The simulators are great, Really immersive. My daughter was super excited and a bit bummed I only booked 30 min instead of an hour. We'll be back for sure! My advice, book in advance online, I should have done this just to avoid having to wait. I can see this place getting more popular as people start discovering it. Thanks for a...
Read moreThis was a very neat place. They have simulators that can mock virtually any track and virtually any kind of car. Some of them have motion haptics as well. The price seems pretty reasonable for what you get. You can pick almost any car and any track and customize it to yourself. Each simulator is named after an F1 driver. I was disappointed to see that there was none named after Alain Prost, Jackie Stewart, Jim Clark, Niki Lauda, James Hunt or Juan Manuel Fangio.
When I was there, the staff was very helpful. They helped me get the car that I wanted and get all set up. I was even offered a piece of leftover pizza from a party they had earlier. I absolutely loved the simulator. It was the closest thing I will ever get to driving a McLaren MP4. My only complaint was all the movement and haptics of the chair made me nauseous. That may be just because I’m almost 60 years old.
The place is very unique, very clean, very well kept up and totally fun for any car enthusiast. I strongly...
Read moreI went to Drive Simulations this past weekend and brought my nephew and his car enthusiast best friend who was visiting from out of state. We all had a great time! I let them use the haptic (motion) simulators and I used the static (fixed) simulator. I was a little jealous, but I'll have to try the haptic version next time, haha. We all got headsets so that we could chat while racing, which was a lot of fun as we turned laps around Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey.
The staff is amazing and very knowledgeable. They have a great understanding of the equipment and are obviously passionate about racing and what they do. The equipment is all top notch! I've done some sim racing myself, but I've never had the high-end equipment they have, so it was really great to check out what those systems feel like as I've always wondered. We'll definitely be back as it was...
