Filthy overpriced dump. All 4 and 5 star reviews are fake, written in India for a bowl of rice. They did not stay here.Does not pass SMELL TEST. Adjacent 24 hour AMPM, transient party all night. Truckers and tweakers love this place. Parking is tough when Fire Department, Sheriff's Department, Ambulances, or Coroner are there. People have died here regularly (ODs). Meth, heroin, and ugly middle-aged hookers are available That is not bubble bath in the jacuzzi, it is bodily fluids foaming. Suspect Wanted in Kern County Murder Arrested at Castaic Inn Thursday, May 3, 2018 By Pearl Obispo The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Special Enforcement Bureau assisted the Arvin Police Department Thursday morning in executing a search warrant for a suspect wanted for murder. The suspect was arrested at the Castaic Inn and taken into custody after a roughly four hour operation. “The operation began before 8:00 a.m.,” said Lieutenant Bauer of the SCV Sheriff’s Station. “At noon, the suspect did exit the room after our special forces team deployed a flash bang.” Traffic was diverted in the area with assistance from the California Highway Patrol. Oh boy, where do I start? First, Not only do they not have breakfast but you have to go tromping down to the lobby to get a cup of coffee! No coffee Maker in the room. The front desk person was very nice. That was their positive. Both the pool and the hot tub were non-existent and really looked like they were falling apart. Parking is minimal for the amount of rooms that they have. The hotel is very dated looking. Sorta run down looking. And in my room I was unable to sleep underneath the covers because there was some weird stain on the sheets. If I had not been so tired from 8 hours of driving and it was not late I would have demanded a new room. But I let it go and slept on top of the covers. Then when going to take a shower I noticed that the towel for the floor had some stains on it which look like charcoal (see picture)! I have foot problems and I sure as hell was not putting my foot down on that! Air conditioner is old and not strong. Set it on 72 and woke up sweating a few times. On the plus side, You can walk to AM/PM if you're thirsty or need snacks and it is freeway close. All in all, If you can find another place in the price range do it.

Walked in and got a room for 2 nights for a reasonable price. I will say, reviews in the past say something about cleanliness, but my room was completely spotless, including towels, bedsheets, and etc. It smells very nice in the room, too. Building is a bit old, but it seems like they put a lot of effort into cleanliness. No sketchy people hanging around at night, and it feels pretty safe. No food offered as far as room service/breakfast, but there's coffee in the mornings. Not an all-inclusive resort. There's a fridge and a microwave. All in all, it may not be a five star hotel, but it's certainly a five star TWO star Inn.

I must say, our experience at this 2-star hotel left us with mixed feelings. On the one hand, the rooms were surprisingly decent and offered a comfortable stay after our tiring day at Six Flags. However, we encountered a concerning issue with the hotel staff, particularly regarding our privacy and safety.

Late at night, around 12 o'clock, we were disturbed by the phone ringing, followed by attempts to open our door and loud knocking. Being cautious, we hesitated to open the door and instead peered through the peephole, which unfortunately provided limited visibility. Given the uncertain situation, we opted to stay inside for safety reasons.

To our surprise, the manager himself came and opened the door, accompanied by an upset family who claimed it was their room. The lady who checked us in was also present. The manager seemed agitated, blaming us for not realizing that we were in the wrong room and expecting us to resolve the matter ourselves. Meanwhile, we patiently waited for an explanation or a solution from the staff, but unfortunately, none was offered. Instead, they simply walked away, eventually relocating the family to another room.

Feeling uneasy and concerned for our safety, we called the front desk to inquire if we were secure in our room and whether anyone still had access to it. The response we received was less than satisfactory. The lady at the front desk dismissed our concerns, insisting that we should have realized we were in the wrong room, even though the mistake was due to her mishandling of the key card.

Throughout the night, we took extra precautions, placing a chair against the door and keeping the light on as there was no door guard, which we believe should be part of any hotel's safety policy to have them.

In the morning, when we asked for a refund or at least a discount for the unsettling experience, we were informed that only the manager had the authority to address such matters. Unfortunately, he was unavailable at the time. Consequently, we requested a business card and departed.

Overall, the incident left us feeling uneasy and unsafe in our own room. The front desk knew about our occupancy, yet the manager chose to enter without regard for our privacy or well-being. The establishment and its staff displayed a lack of professionalism and accountability, which is concerning for any guest's...

If I could give zero I would. Rooms are disgusting, and I mean DISGUSTING. Tub was black. Duct tape on walls to hold things together. Carpet is sticky. All linens had holes. Towels were so gross we didn't even touch them. We got a non smoking room that smelled like an ashtray. We only picked this place because it was close to six flags where we were headed the next day. We drove 31/2 hours from 29 palms Marine Corps base where I am stationed. We were greeted with disrespect from the start. Guy at front desk (Aaron) was horrible and made false claims about there being noise complaints for our room. We were sitting in our room on our phones when he made these accusations. He saw us take beer in the room through the cameras, saw that I am of African descent , and assumed we were having a "Party". He stated that he was concerned because he didn't have anyone to clean the rooms if we were to make a mess. For one, that is disturbing & unsanitary. Two, we had no intentions of "destroying" a room. He judged us and labeled us from the start. I had to PAY him extra to keep him from kicking us out with no refund. On top of an already 150$ overpriced room. He has no expertise in customer service. He claimed to be the manager and if that is the case this place will be going downhill for that alone. It was all about him. Not the PAYING customer. He also let us know that our 2 friends who also stayed at this hotel could not visit our room. What a joke. As he is saying this a whole group of kids and a family come out of one room. I point that out and he starts to stutter. He knew what he was doing was wrong. The next day I go to pick up my cash deposit and the front desk, AGAIN, assumes that we trashed the room and says that they might not give us our money back. They send people to check it and to their surprise the room is as good as it was when we checked in. My wife even did the bed. So they had no choice but to return the deposit. Prejudice at its finest. Rude. Dirty. Will NEVER stay here again. We took pictures of the disgust. Save yourself the experience & DONT STAY HERE. And from other reviews this is not the first time this...

In a nutshell: • Dirty with strong odors • Horrible customer service • Back wall borders the I-5 freeway • Sketchy clientele This place was dirty and run down. I partly chose this place based on their claim that they were a two-diamond certified establishment certified by AAA. I was traveling alone as a female for a work training held nearby. After walking into the first room, I was overwhelmed by a strong smoke odor and what smelled like marijuana. I had specified a no smoking room, so I went and asked for another room. The second room did not smell like smoke but instead smelled like very strong cleaners. After less than 5 minutes in both rooms, my nose and throat were burning and I felt like I was having trouble breathing. I have allergy-induced asthma, so I was alarmed and decided that I could not stay there. To compound matters, the clientele of the inn were less than desirable, and I did not feel safe as people watched me walk in and out of hotel rooms. I went to the front desk to ask for a refund for the charge she had just done on my credit card, and was told that only the general manager could do refunds, I had just missed them, and they would be in later around 8. Then the phone games started. I called later that night and multiple times the next day with the same answers of, “you just missed them,” or “they’ll be in later.” I called for a few days and emailed the manager two times before I received any response a week later via email. Supposedly the manager had the flu. Also, my money could not be refunded because of their cancellation policy, which they claim is clearly printed on my reservation confirmation. I looked at my printed reservation confirmation, and there was no cancellation policy. They offered a credit of one night stay before February 2014, but why would I opt to stay there again when I could not breathe the first time? After multiple email exchanges, they still would not refund my money. DO...
