Red Dot Pizza Company — Restaurant in California

We eat here when we're in town. I have a rental property in Castaic, so when I'm working on it, I head out to Red Dot for food.

I love their meat eaters pizza. In fact, I'll order an XL and take the leftovers home. Their crust is very good and the toppings give it great flavor! My better half likes the meatball sub - they do it different here. They cut the meatball into smaller pieces, so it's easier to eat! Brilliant!

The service is great. We order at the front desk and they bring our food out when it's ready. They keep our glasses full and they check in on us! That's a nice touch!

The dining area is kinda odd. Nothing bad, but it's a bit odd. But then again, it's a pizza place, so it's okay!

I've had some great conversations with the owner. He's a good guy and he does his best to keep his customers happy. We talk business and I can tell he cares about his employees and his customers!

We're always greeted with a warm smile from the staff. The ones who help us the most ask us how we're doing with the remodel - it's nice they remember us!

This is what a town pizza place should be like. Good food, fair prices, friendly service and best of all, it's a win - win for everyone. We get a great place to eat and we keep them in business!

I had a good experience last time. When I ordered over the phone this time I was given a 30 min estimate for the food to be ready. I walked in to pickup my order about 35 mins later and was told my food still wasn't ready so I told them I would be outside since we're still social distancing. The girl who was at the cashier said that was great and she would bring my food out to me. 10 mins later I walked inside again and was told it would still be 5 more minutes because my food wasn't ready. I waited outside for another 10 mins before walking inside one final time. I had ordered a large side of BBQ sauce and was given a very small condiment container so I asked for 2 more so I asked for 2 more and was told they would charge me $1.00 so I told them no since I had already paid. They charged me $1 more for each item compared to their menu so beware. The pizza was not as good as the last time either, not enough sauce and the crust was tough not chewy. I won't be going there again which is a shame because it's right down the street from my place. Go to Ameci instead...very...

Had to edit after this most recent order. Quality and service have taken a nosedive. Ordered three pizzas, only two delivered. The ones that came were not made as ordered.

Best pizza by far in the SCV. I haven't had pizza this good since the East Coast, and that is certainly saying something. My children also commented on how great their pizza was. Winning over my kids is no easy task, so congratulations. I will continue to order Red Dot for as long as I live in the SCV.

With the order, we also ordered a salad and a pastrami sandwich. Both were fantastic! The real hero here was their pastrami sandwich! [We are a military family, so we are world traveled.] This was the BEST pastrami sandwich my wife and I have EVER eaten. The Hat is now a distant second to Red Dot. The Hat's Pastrami sandwich is good. This one, BLEW it out of the water.

The pizza crust, the people, the sandwiches, and the price point will keep me ordering for years to come. You can not possibly go wrong ordering from...
