My friends and I just finished eating at this restaurant for lunch. This was our first time trying this place out. We absolutely LOVED Tacos Tijuana! I am born and raised in Santa Clarita, but used to work in the valley. One of the things I miss about working down there is all the amazing restaurants, especially authentic tacos. I've tried other local spots in Santa Clarita which I have enjoyed, but for me, Tacos Tijuana is head and shoulders above all the rest in town.
Walking in, we were greeted by Manny (Owner) who took our order and explained a few details. I ordered carne asada and al pastor tacos with everything on them. The staff was extremely friendly and Manny asked us to grab a seat. He personally brought out our drinks and chips/salsa to the table. The chips were freshly made and the salsa (red) was a perfect balance of taste and spice.
Only a few minutes later, our food arrived at the table. The tacos came TJ style wrapped in wax paper and guacamole on top. Manny also dropped off 3 different sauces to add per your preference...verde, habanero and rojo. I added a little rojo and a few dabs of habanero on top. The taste was incredible! The asada was fresh, no fat, no grease and perfect seasoning. You could taste the smoke on the meat which was a nice touch. The al pastor had the right flavor and they give you plenty of meat on each taco. The tortillas were fresh and homemade and complimentary to the meat/toppings. I think I'm actually going to dream of these tortillas tonight when I go to sleep.
One of my friends who was with me was born and raised in TJ. He couldn't get over how authentic this tasted and compared it to Las Ahumadera that he grew up eating in TJ. He liked it so much that he ordered a few more tacos for our table before we left to head back to work.
The restaurant itself was clean, well-maintained and modernly decorated. They have a few flat screen televisions inside and plenty of tables to choose from. Parking was easy as there were plenty of spots.
I always enjoy seeing a family-owned restaurant run by such a hard-working family who takes pride in ownership. Manny and his team do an amazing job and I hope to see this place remain a Santa Clarita staple for many years to come. If you are looking for authentic flavor and want to support local, do yourself a favor and go check this place out. I'm already planning on bringing my family here this upcoming weekend so they can...

The food!! Omg! Delicious and homemade!! To start, They plated frijoles con puerco y tocino (beans with bacon, and pork) with a side a chips. Probably the beat beans i have ever had! Read moreBest Mexican food north of San Diego. I was so happy with the food here I came back everyday for 3 days, & would have been 4 days but my work took me elsewhere. Agua frescas are on point, handmade corn tortillas, great tasting food… only thing missing was Adaelitas & a 3-hr border line wait. ;)
The owner is super cool, and takes the time to make sure every customer is full & happy. Highly recommend… wouldn’t go anywhere else in this area. If your a drug addict looking to rob a business, do yourself a favor, leave the money & take...
