We really enjoyed our stay at Castaic Lake RV park. The employees at the store were really helpful and offered several suggestions when I asked about family-friendly restaurants to celebrate my birthday.
Considering the location near to Six Flags and that it's in Southern California, the rates are very reasonable. All sites are either full or partial hookup.
The washrooms and showers were very clean, and the showers were very spacious. I especially appreciate that there's a place to sit down just outside the shower stall, where your things won't get wet and where you can get dressed comfortably. Two accessible washroom/shower combinations are available as well.
Several washers and dryers are available for use at a reasonable price in a small laundry room, and there are tonnes of books and board games to keep children entertained while the laundry gets done. Magazines are also available in the laundry room.
There is a small playground that the little ones will enjoy, just outside the laundry room.
The outdoor heated pool and the hot tub were lovely and very clean, and I especially appreciated that they were available for use in the winter—us crazy Canadians were the only ones making use of them, so we had the facilities all to ourselves, which was nice.
My only suggestion for improvement is to ensure the pool opens at the listed time. On our last day here, the cleaners were still hard at work a good hour past the listed opening time. While I love how diligent they are at keeping the facilities sparkling clean, I would prefer it if the cleaning was finished prior to the listed opening hour.
Thank you for a great stay; I hope to come back some day. If you're looking for a place to stay near Six Flags Magic Mountain, I highly recommend Castaic Lake RV Park.
As for those complaining that there are long-term residents on the premises, I don't see what the problem is. Everyone at the park was friendly and polite, and there were zero issues with the people who live here. Sure, there are some older RVs in the park. I don't see how this affects your stay. It's California, and I'm ecstatic that places like Castaic Lake offer an affordable option for those who can't afford/don't want to pay the ridiculous prices to live in a...
Read moreThe issue with Castaic Lake rv park is that the manager is a fired corrections officer and his friend try to run the park the way a fired corrections officer would, they don’t really care about you here and to call someone a thief for leaving is a joke, your worried about 550$ that I didn’t owe but it’s alright because they did get in contact with me And everything is perfect, it’s not that I don’t mind paying somthing that I owe but I don’t owe this and the collections you sent knows that, but what is the issue is when you have people working for you screaming at my wife and I over a car instead of being nice and asking us to move it as well as him not coping up to me telling him i will leave after he told me I needed to leave because of my dog, which is fine but I don’t get how you will twist a story and call someone a thief?
It’s understandable to be jealous of someone who actually moved out of there RV and dosent still live in a RV with a family of 3 when I’m 60 years old like Damien but I’d at least expect you to be a man about what you said, it’s this bad management that you will continue to read about in the reviews,
Brian tries to attack people who don’t think he’s a very good manager, just like a fired corrections officer would, calling someone a thief is a joke and you know it,
I also recall the park coming together to ask the manager to fire you and you didn’t come to work for days and days on end
Along with you calling one of your workers randy a thief because my neighbor josh gave him a fire pit you said was yours? The texts I read from you where ridiculous
Brain said he didn’t care if he got a fire pit when a camper offered to make him one and then when the camper left and randy was given the fire pit Brian freaks out and tells him he’s stealing park property, Brian actually expected the fellow camper to make him a fire pit after he said he doesn’t care, he cared so much he fired his worker and long time resident of the RV park randy and insulted him with ridiculous texts
I don’t understand where Brian gets these thoughts or actions I just hope the owner of the park understands who Brian and Damien are before it’s to late
thank you very much for showing the rest of google how you treat...
Read moreCastaic Lake R.V is not a good place to visit, they don't like children , animals ,and Management is unprofessional.
The Assistant Manager is rude, he has no management skills, he takes forever to assist you. Worst you can hardly understand the guy, you ask questions and you are still trying to understand the first sentence.
This guy lives at a bar, they block the street ,and they gamble. You want to park in front of the store to buy stuff, well no you can't. Parking is just for him ,his family, and his R.V detail wash business BOGO something, the address for this business didn't even match the name RED FLAG!! . So you get there service ask for insurance and bond to protect your R.V.
To correct one of the reviews that I did read, that stated that this place had a miniature golf , pool table, games inside the office and that the Manager was nice. Well Castaic Lake R.V is not the that place.
I made it my goal to find this place because I'm sure the writer had the right intentions just made a little mistake in the name. The place she was referring to is Pyramid Lake RV Resort 45100 Copco Ave, Gorman , CA 93243. It's not a brand new resort ,but they have miniature golf , big park for kiddos, games inside the office and trails to walk ,and the people are super nice and keep to themselves. Manager is very friendly and welcoming. What's more fun the bike trails are right by.
Good luck to this place , they need a...
