LA INDIAN CUISINE — Restaurant in Santa Clarita

We found this place on Yelp as we wanted something to eat on our drive from Palm Desert up 7 hours…. Somewhere in between. This place had great reviews, although we always look at the lower reviews to see what those are about. We arrived at about 6pm on a Wednesday night and found a few people inside and an occasional person picking up. The place was very clean from tables to toilet. So far so good, but as we were trying to stare at lighted menu at the counter, we were asked if we were eating in or taking out. With that answer, we were given menus to sit down at a table and take our time. As we reviewed the menu, we were given bottled water without us asking. We then placed an order with some of our favorites to give the place a good opportunity. As we waited for our food, we watched for large screen televisions… 2 on the news, 1 on a random channel, and the last one playing Indian music videos with sound… how fun!!! We then were twice approached by staff about the timing of our food and also offered complimentary chai tea… now that’s hospitality.

Still good, right? Okay, so then comes all the food we ordered for just us two.From appetizers, to main entrees, rice, and naan, of course. When we ordered we were asked about spice levels which anyone who eats Indian should know could be all over the top if you aren’t careful. Very generous portions, and allllllll so tasty. Can’t say there was one thing even wrong. This was one of the tastiest Indian food places we have ever eaten at.

Cleaning (10/10) The cleanliness of the restaurant is absolutely impeccable. Everything from the dining area to the restrooms is spotless. It’s clear they prioritize hygiene, which makes the dining experience even more enjoyable.

Staff and Service (10/10) The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. They not only create a welcoming atmosphere but also speak multiple languages, including their native ones, which adds a personal and authentic touch to the experience.

Food Quality and Taste (10/10) The food was simply amazing! It’s been a long time since I had such delicious Indian cuisine. The flavors were authentic, and every dish tasted fresh and perfectly spiced.

Quantity (10/10) The portion sizes are incredibly generous. For just $40, we received an abundance of food, making it an excellent value for money. You will definitely leave with leftovers or a very full stomach.

Price (9.9/10) Considering the quality, quantity, and overall experience, the price is fair and offers great value.

Walking in this establishment, I was instantly and genuinely met with a friendly greeting! The place is clean, well lit and the various smells were another perfect greeting! There's a couple of widescreens on the walls showing some entertaining movies. Before I came in I knew that I wanted to try Aloo Tikki, as I've only had samosas and Aloo Puffs. I really like them! There's so many choices, even for this vegetarian! I finally, sorta settled on my main dish being the tofu curry bowl, but he talked me into the tofu coconut bowl, and I'm glad he did! The bowl had a creamy sauce that was something that this guy, on my particular diet out here on the road doesn't get to enjoy much. I typically oder medium heat 🥵 to be on the safe side. It was good, but I probably could've gotten away with spicier. I'm an unusual "white boy" that can handle more spice then much of my family. I highly doubt they cook or warm up the food in a microwave, because 10 to 15 minutes later, my food was still piping hot! There was only one annoying fly for a short time, and a few napkins on the floor but otherwise, I would definitely reccomend this establishment!
