The first time I had stayed foe almost a week. I had to take out my own trash, clean my own room and beg for toilet paper. When i saw housekeeping she said she doesnt speak english and tried to shove a phone in my face. I backed away and tried to explain again about rhe room and also ask for toilet paper, towels, etc. She shoved her phone in my face again as she gave me a mean look. Then said that she dont speak English. She seemed very angry that i would not try to speak Spanish. I told her that i do not speak Spanish. She told me that she does not work for them. I went to front desk but there was a line and no staff was there. When staff finally returned she told me that she was in the bathroom. She told me that the help is an outside contracted company. I was told that they hired them because they are cheap and will do the work where as if they hire Americans they would get a union and compliants for more pay and better working conditions. The front desk lady then apologized for the service and said that management does not have morning meetings anymore so customer service is very poor. Later, my WiFi was hacked. Surprisingly i stayed again last night. The lady put me in a room where the toilet would not work and was making loud sounds, the pillows smelled like dunk and sweat and the floors were dirty with visible holes in the carpet She had a man bring two pillows. He came up with two pillows that looked wrinkled and dirty. I went back downstairs where she demanded details of my dissatisfaction so i explained. She gave me an ugly look and handed me a key that she already had. I went to that room and there was huge stains on the bed. I took a picture of them but unfortunately camaras can not record the pee/funk smells that where on the beds. I took a picture of the carpet with the holes in them, the dirty sink, stained furniture and proceeded to go back to her. At this point she was very angry with me. When I tried to tell her what was happening she made me feel like i was a liar , gave me a hideous look and said, "let me see!" As she was leaving to "see" I took out my phone and showed her the pics. She looked shocked at first and then very, very angry. I then began to calm like record her rude words and actions towards me as she grew more and more hostile towards me. She then told me to stop taking pics. I lookd above her head where there was a camara there and calm explained that I'm just trying to keep things fair. She called the police, tried to lie and say I was hostile, described me in such a way that I felt that she was racist. I asked for my money back. Her behavior made me feel like I was not going to get my money so Icalled the police also because I felt she was going to rob me of my refund by lying on me and slandering my name so that she could justify robbing me. I steppped away from her so that she would not lie on me and thats when i heard her describe me to the police as if she was describing a criminal. Being African American I took offense to how she was slandering me and lying on me so I called the police again. The dispatch appeared empathetic and as if she believed that this nightmare was indeed happening to me. She assured me that the police waa on the way. My husband realized that she was not giving us our refund although she lied and said she would so he called Expedia to get the refund from them. Please note that they disabled photos on this platform, so check out my review on other platforms where media coverage is available. Her name is Jordan. They are just collecting money and cutting corners. The resteraunt never open and the balcony doors are broke. The service is horrible and they lie on you-making you the villain rather than the true VICTIM that you are. If you want poor service, to fight for your refund at the risk of being slandered and lied on, the police called on you and your internet hacked then this is the spot for you. BUYER BEWARE...
Read moreI don't know what to say or how can I rate that hotel??!! I like the place very much and stayed there many times, the location and the rooms are very convenient for me, most of the staff are very nice like Mayra, Anthony, Tashima, Vic,...etc But they have a front office manager named "Sharma" who shouldn't work in the hotel business at all, always not smiling to guests, deals with all guests with a lot of arrogance and bad way, but the veryyyy strange thing is what he did with me...... I went to the swimming pool to swim but I couldn't find towels, so I picked up the phone at the swimming pool and someone answered from the other side ( I discovered that it was him ), I told him, please let someone bring some towels to the swimming pool, he didn't reply to me and just hang up the phone, I tried to call him 2 more times, every time he opens the line and doesn't say a word!!!! So, I went out and went to the gym thinking that I might find some towels there but didn't, going out from the gym, I saw the laundry room open so I opened the door to see if someone was there to ask him about towels, he was inside (Sharma) and I asked him why you didn't reply or respond to my calls? I was speaking with him in a friendly way because I thought that he knows me very well since I'm a regular guest for the hotel, he replied to me in a very rude and violent way " I had a guest in front of me that I was serving", I told him, fine, why you didn't tell me so on the phone instead of closing the phone in my face???!!! At this moment he started shouting and saying go out of this room, you're not allowed to step here (I had only one foot inside the room and the other outside), I told him why are you speaking like that??!! He said: Okay, I will call the Police and you will step out of the whole building right now, I told him, no, I will call 911 to come and see what's wrong with you, but I didn't because I really liked the hotel and didn't want to cause any problems because of one person who doesn't care about the reputation of the hotel and I didn't think that he would really call the Police and make the hotel image look so bad in front of all other guests.... But he did call the Police for me for that argument and the Police came and spoke with me and they were extremely respectful and reasonable when I explained what happened and told them they can check my story on the security cameras, they told me, don't respond to this strange person and don't leave the hotel, and if he tries to force you to do that, just come to us in the police station and file a complain against him, and they left. Until now, I don't believe what happened and when I called the corporate to make a complain, they said, we are sorry, we can't do anything since the police interfered in the problem????!!! That's why I'm very confused and don't know really what rating should I give to...
Read moreWe were staying 2 nights and upon arrival we found that the carpet in our room near the air-conditioner and past the sliding door were soaking wet, squishing under our feet. We called the front desk and they said it is likely just due to the AC and that all the rooms were likely the same. I could only think of the amount of mold/mildew that was likely in the carpet after hearing this. I requested we get a new room as this was the only "open space" in the small room and we had a child with us. She found another option just down the hall and I asked to check it out before agreeing to switch. She happily took me to check on the room and the carpet was dry so we switched. The following day we returned to the hotel after a long day of sight-seeing to find out that our keys didn't work. We assumed it was due to needing new keys after the room switch and didn't think much of it. We ended up going to the front desk four times to get the key redone because it wouldn't work on the door. The front desk person eventually had to come up and manually unlock the door. She said that the system was likely updating and it should be fine by morning. No surprise morning came and the key still didn't work. It did work after another trip to the lobby for yet another key reset, though I was reminded to keep the key away from my cell phone as that would inactivate it. I assured her that the cards had been kept nowhere near our phones since the previous evening. I decided to check out the gym in hopes to get a good run in before heading out for the day and it was abysmal. The nicer of the two treadmills wouldn't turn on and the one that did turn on had a belt slip that would almost throw you off of it. Ok, so I decided to use the elliptical machine. It was so wobbly there was no way that you actually use it. The WIFI throughout was spotty and we only got a decent signal about 20% of the time. The ice machines barely worked and after holding the button for at least a minute you would get a half a cupful of ice to come out. The location was fine and there was a nice walking path behind the hotel. The outdoor pool seemed nice though we never actually swam in it due to our schedule. It seemed like it would be easy enough to enclose it so it could be used year round. We will not be staying at this...
