I visited this place on 10/9 at 1pm, eager to try their soy chicken gizzards since I’ve loved chicken gizzards since childhood. The food itself was fantastic—delicious, perfectly crunchy with a sweet, tangy flavor. However, I was told it would be mild, but it definitely had more heat than expected. I’m not sure if I was accidentally given the spicy version, but while I enjoy spicy food, others might find this a bit overwhelming if they’re expecting something mild.
Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. I initially ordered my food to-go, but after deciding to stay, I asked the server if we could dine in instead. She gave us a negative look and said, “To-go orders are supposed to leave.” Considering the restaurant was almost empty, with just two tables occupied, this response felt unnecessary. She eventually said, “I guess today it’s fine,” but her attitude made us feel unwelcome for the remainder of our visit. I had planned to tip, but the cold reception changed my mind. I’ve never experienced this at a restaurant, especially one that wasn’t busy. It left me unsure if I’d...
Read moreYou may have seen the one star review here that is complaining about how the chicken was soggy. You may even be discouraged from trying it based on this information. From the picture included in said review, it looked like the food was in a carryout container. And yes, it shouldn't be a secret to anyone that if you don't let your crispy fried foods breathe, if you suffocate it...all that moisture in the bag is going right back into the (not-for-much-longer) crispy exterior. They poke those holes in these paper boxes, believe it or not, for a reason.
So please Karen, the next time you get fried chicken (from anywhere) and it turns out soggy because it was sitting in your ubereats driver's car for his past 3 stops before he gets to your house and your kids whine that their food is soggy, realize that is the result of your own decisions. Realize this is not something the restaurant can control. Realize leaving a bad review for this as a reason makes you look...
Read moreI don’t normally leave reviews, but this place absolutely deserves the highest of praise. My girlfriend and I both agree that this is the best fried chicken/wings we’ve ever had. Highly highly recommend it to everyone. The perfect level of spice without distracting from the amazing flavors. A good amount of sweet, salty, savory and spice. The wings had a thick, crunchy exterior while still carrying loads of meat. Very reasonable prices for the massive quantity you get. We were able to get multiple meals out of our order. The location was near our hotel, and neither of us felt like wandering far or going out to eat, so we ordered takeout just to get something in our stomachs not really caring, but we were both incredibly blown away. We will be back...
