Loved my stay at this cute inn and would have given it 5 stars except the water in the pool was very cool for a hotel pool and there were several stairs to get to the pool and rooms. I use a walker/rollator and the staff were very accommodating by giving us the closest room/least amount of stairs and carried it for me when I was by myself. It would be impossible though for someone who can't do any stairs. Right on the water, beautiful views, great staff, soft comfy beds and clean rooms. Super creaky floors but didn't bother me. Picture is view from room window.

Loved spending a week here... Needed the tranquility... The homey atmosphere while enjoying bay views, complete with fresh salty ocean breezes, was beyond soothing. Nearby restaurants (GALLEY, THE MILL) with incredible fresh seafood, as well as surprising wine offerings, made the vacation very special. Highly recommend a 20 minute walk to the bay lighthouse - incredible sunrise views, if you're lucky.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Impressed with the cleanliness, excellent staff and rooms. The lobby was pristine and really focused on safety. Also had a great view and the gardens there are gorgeous, the patio is lovely. Excellent location with ample parking as well. Will certainly stay again!

Please don’t waste your money. I stayed here for with my 3 children and had a terrible experience being woken up at 12am with the people in the room next door loudly singing and cursing. I called the front desk without any answer. Walked downstairs at 12:25am and waited for the lady at the desk 10 minutes. The hotel considers this addressing the situation and refused to offer another night or compensation for the horrible night we had there. The manger stated that because she ‘bent the rules’ and accommodated our guests in the pool the day before that the hotel wouldn’t consider any request for reimbursement. The manager personally told us that it would be ok to have our guests use the pool. She later told me that it illegal and against their insurance policies for the hotel to do this. Then she stated I only asked for 2 children to use the pool but 3 children actually came. The 3rd child was my child that was a registered guest at the hotel that was traveling with his cousins. We had a total of 2 guests and my 3 children. The manager here has the poorest customer service that I have ever experienced. Read her replies to the other reviews about poor experiences at this hotel. If you have any issues at the hotel whatsoever, please know that this is who you will be dealing with. Rude, condescending, non empathetic and disrespectful. Not to mention if you have any luggage you will be lugging this up 3 flights of stairs and they won’t offer to help. There is no elevator. the sheets are thin, poor quality and feel old. Our twin bed was lumpy feeling. The carpet floors are not vacuumed. The pool water is not heated like the website states. The pool is in a heated basement and the room is about 90 degrees but the pool itself is cold. The breakfast has very few choices. Cereal is one of the few options but they don’t refill the tiny container of milk and after 2 of my children had cereal there wasn’t any milk left. The biggest issue by far though is the horrible hospitality and customer from the manager and her assistant.

For the record, I would agree that I wouldn’t want to stay another night this place was a nightmare. Up at 12 am listening to drunk people party and being treated rudely by the staff. It wouldn’t be a ‘free’ night, it would be accommodating a guest after a poor experience. but instead, read the blast by...

Poor service and awful experience at this Inn on Saturday March 19. At 1:15 in the morning the room above us returned from their night shift at a local pub and proceeded to open and close doors, we heard loud thuds and noises in the room until 4:40 am. This inn has a quiet time policy from 10 pm on. Fearing our safety we didn’t call the front desk, these weren’t normal guest noises - a decision we wished we could take back. Upon telling my experience of no sleep The next morning, I was met with well that’s your fault. Never an “I’m sorry you had that experience.” The front desk then gave details about the occupants, the pub where they worked and they knew they would be returning from their shift in the early morning. I expressed my desire to speak to a manager and was given her number. I left 3 messages and was finally contacted on Wednesday March 23. I can understand the poor customer service at the front desk because the manager Linda does not care. The situation was my fault and was my word basically. “Maybe the noise was them moving furniture so they could sleep.” If you want to knowingly stay at an inn where people can come back from a night shift and move the furniture in an old inn where you can hear everything - Then this is your place! If you want an owner that doesn’t care, this is your place. Linda states had I called it would have been dealt with that night, and I’d like to believe her - but her attitude and inability to return my call for days and the treatment of her morning staff isn’t convincing. The bed was as soft as a marshmallow to boot. When I pointed out I work in customer service and that her staff could use some empathy, then there was an I’m sorry. Oh - and she got back to my complaint when she was able because she doesn’t work 24/7. And I shouldn’t expect to be contacted “when I want to” but when she can. You failed customer service 101 Linda- prioritize your...

HORRIBLE management. Do not stay here. My family and I made a reservations here for Oct 29-31 and the power went out from the big storm - they emailed us at 9:03am the morning of the 29th to let us know and gave us a list of 3 hotels in the area that had power - which we very much appreciated. We landed in Boston around 2pm and emailed called the Inn a few times throughout the afternoon to that day to see if anything had changed or if they had an expected time they would receive power but the calls wouldn’t go through and we didn’t get an email back, because of that we made reservations elsewhere. The morning of the 30th they called me to inform their power was back on and asked me if we would be staying with them that night - I said we wouldn’t be staying there since we already found a different hotel (that was on the list of suggestions they sent to us) and I asked them to please cancel our reservation. Now they are refusing to refund us the amount we put down when we booked the hotel. We were unable to stay with them because they had no power (not our fault) and now they won’t give us our money back??? Absolutely ridiculous. My family and I have all called and emailed them multiple times asking for a refund and I spoke to the general manager Lynda Ferguson she interrupted me multiple times, hung up on me when she was “transferring me to another phone”? and is refusing to give us a refund. Do not risk staying here because if anything happens they won’t give you your...
