Pastries were fresh and soft. Tried a cupcake and chocolate croissant. Prices are decent, but I feel like the cakes are way overpriced. There are many bakeries in Boston with better rating and a cheaper price for decently sized cakes. However, for the location of the shop, I don’t blame them for this. In all honesty, I’m tired of the Harbor having businesses open up and serve the same stuff. I’m more appealed to authentic cuisines lately and find myself traveling out of town to try original stuff. Personally, I’m always popping in and out of the stores & restaurants on this street and I feel like diversity would thrive better in an area like ours, especially considering the fact that the main consumers for these places are the townspeople. The rest of the menu was okay but I haven’t explored past the pastries yet. It was kind of similar to the menus for the other cafes that exist on Front street already, just a few different ingredient and name changes but I guess that’s what makes it “different” from the others. Noticed that this happened with Salt Society and Chopsticks too. Where is the originality people! I would’ve loved to see some new international food places rather than another coffee shop or Asian restaurant, as we have enough of both in Scituate. Indian food maybe? Mexican? IDK! Few more things… parking wasn’t bad. There’s street parking if you’re lucky and a few slots along the side of the building. Gonna have to walk if it’s busy there (not a problem once good weather rolls around). I had to park in the Mill Wharf lot and walk over, it was packed today. The atmosphere had an enticing vibe to it. Very bright and introducing. Staff were decent, but I’ve only been once, so I guess time will tell. Good...
Read moreMy partner and I came in this morning to try out the new spot and we were blown away! The attention to detail of the design is phenomenal. We had an entire conversation about how the lighting was perfect and how much that influences atmosphere. The seating was beautiful and inviting and actually comfortable; a large floor sectional (so cool) a long communal table, and some additional tables. The boho touches everywhere were just beautifully executed, the plants were flourishing. Now for food; when walking in we were immediately wafted with the most delightful smell. I have to say- to the reviewer asking for ‘authentic cuisine’ where else can you buy cardamom buns in Scituate? There was a great assortment of sweet treats for those that look for those . I ordered the salmon tartine and it was nothing short of magical. House made lemon cucumber dill spread (a delightfully thinner but solid tzatziki spread) smoked salmon capers and lemon zest, over house sourdough, the zest was a delightful twist on a classic. My partner ordered the mermaid bowl and absolutely loved it- we learned about spirulina, which was amazing because we’re very well versed on supplements. I’ve heard lots of buzz around town about pricing and was pleasantly surprised that it was well priced. The espresso was slightly more expensive than other places but it was the best espresso I’ve had in a long time- worth it. Food was reasonably priced in my opinion, it was clearly made with love. We can’t wait to go back...
Read moreI LOVE Knead. The staff is so warm and welcoming, the food is divine, and the atmosphere is so so cozy. I have tried a number of their menu offerings and every single thing has been drool-worthy. I can't wait to see what else they cook up! Something worth noting: my son and I were there on opening day and the place was BOPPING - I guess they sold out of everything all weekend which just shows how amazing it is! What's worth noting is, these folks were thrown into insanity with a constant stream of folks coming in and they handled it with such grace. No one seemed stressed yet they were still incredibly efficient. I've managed a few bakeries and cafes in my life and it's not easy to pull off grace and efficiency when the entire staff is brand new and routines have yet to be established so this was remarkable to me. Overall I'm incredibly impressed already and I know it's going to get better and better as they settle in. Knead is totally here to stay. I can't wait to get...
