Went here for my birthday a while back. The food was great and the service was awesome too. The waitstaff is super friendly and kept giving our kids coasters with riddles on the back. Good food/beer selection and a very nice spot for boat and people gazing. Great clam chowder and apps.. but the clams are.. well read on.. Ahh the clam plate. It was super fantastic. First off.. I grew up in Maine, and I’m also pretty old, and so I’ve have had my fair share of clams. These large full belly clams may just be the best I’ve ever had. Definitely within top 2. Nice crispy batter not overly thick and super fresh.. these are sweet clams.. if you like clams you will know what I mean. I think my daughters clam plate had a few more than mine. Bummer. Also great tarter sauce. My wife had the fish tacos and they were also really yummy. They make them with a little hint of spicy wasabi so just be advised. We love sushi so they were just the trick. My son had the fish and chips and that was also great. Not sure what that other reviewer was talking about with lack of fish. This was thick cut fillets with the same light batter. Onion rings and fries were also awesome. Putting this one on our list of favorite places.

Ate here around 8PM on a weekend. 5 min wait for my favorite table outside. Chairs are a little narrow for someone who is XL or 2XL but it was okay. You probably don't want to be sat outside if you are a person of width. Service was fast and she checked our table at the right times. Food was flavorful. A bit too pricey but I was willing to pay because it was my graduation. The salad was better at the place I ate at the night before. the salmon was meh. The lobster mac was surprising and wife liked it a lot. I was in love with the lobster soup/chowder. I saw other people ordering the nachos and they looked appetizing. I also saw someone order the onion rings which were thing and stringy so I would try those if you like fried food. Overall, if I came back I probably would just stick to the appetizers and soup. Order the jumbo shrimp cocktail and the cornbread. I think its good food but overpriced. Drinks are very overpriced but they were good, and strong so I was happy. The atmosphere is top tier and probably why people go since its in the bay and the ocean vibes are clean are beautiful. It was the perfect end to an exciting day!

Our goal was to have a drink and some munchies at the water. Actually, I would not give it any stars other than you can see the water. The service was abysmal. It took us 20 plus minutes after seated to order drinks. We actually were getting ready to leave, and the waiter showed up. Probably another 10+ minutes to get the drinks (2 Aperol spritzes, rose, and a beer). We got a children’s $8 grilled cheese for a toddler, which was burnt. My daughter got a fried scallop plate and the onion rings were cold. We sent that back for warm ones. I ordered nachos to share. They were rubbery and terrible. The cheese was just a congealed mess on top of the nachos. Not dippable. My husband got a bowl of chowder. That came after food was delivered. We had to ask our waiter for it twice. And it comes out of a pot at the servers’ station. Ironically on our way out a couple at the bar had a barely eaten nacho plate. I said I see you enjoyed your nachos too and they said they were terrible. We sat upstairs, which looks quite beat, compared to downstairs. $150 later, I cannot recommend. We’ve been here before and it was better.

I have come to Mill Wharf likely 12 times in my life and can’t say I have ever had a great experience. The main draw to the restaurant are the views, which are the best of any restaurant in Scituate Harbor, and was why we ate here this time.

We ate upstairs since we didn’t have a reservation. We waited 5 minutes for someone to greet us and show us to a table with multiple servers walking by without even a look. Finally I went to the bar and asked if we should seat ourselves and were told to find a table we like.

That’s when we noticed that there were no six person tables available and any tables with a view of the water had not been cleared yet. We waited a few more minutes to see if we could get a table cleared and again no one paid us any attention. So we finally combined a table with a uncleared table in hopes that would draw attention. Finally the manager came over and apologized and cleared the table and ensured we got menus.

We then waited another 15 minutes for a server to greet us without luck. We see multiple employees sitting at the bar or at empty tables socializing and eating. We finally again had to ask the bartender for service and still waited additional 5 minutes. By then no one in our group was happy and it soured the whole experience. The service from then on was adequate- same with the food and drinks. Nothing makes this place special other than the views, which do not out weigh the poor...

3.5 hours for food - DONT BOTHER!!!

Listen, I have been here at least 15 times. It's my go-to spot in Scituate. I dont know what has happened in the last 6 months, but the issue needs to be addressed - and QUICKLY. This is a direct reflection on management. HIRE MORE STAFF!

This is the 4th time in 6 months. Every single time, the kitchen has been "backed up". I didn't have a wait staff check in for over an hour after we initially ordered appetizers. The appetizers came 1.5 hours later!! We didnt even get our main dishes in the queue for an hour and a half. The food took more than 3 hours!! The poor wait staff had no less than 25 tables, both inside AND outside (yes, I had time to count them).

Everyone (including the hostess) seemed frantic and out of control. I had to literally ask the hostess for my bill so I could leave my 3.5 hour endeavor. If I wanted this kind of experience, I would have flown to Paris to be just as ignored.

The waitresses were coaching the bar tenders how to make a tequila sunrise for goodness sake!

All in all, I blame the management and ownership. Get your ship together or soon you'll be out. There are so many great spots coming into that area that patrons will go to.

Dear reader: if you have made it this far, go anywhere else. There are far better places that will actually serve you...

We recently went for lunch. I was curious how things have changed with the new ownership. They no longer take reservations so that rules out family get togethers. As always the view is great. I was happy that the lunch menu looked similar although the prices have gone up. Our Server was great! The onion rings were always very good. We shared them as an appetizer. They came out quickly and were hot. Whether they are still hand made I am not sure but they were very good. They have also added a spicy mayo that I liked and still provided ketchup. We all got the burgers. The last time I got the burger it was very disappointing. Over cooked and dried out, this time it was better. It had more of a crust on the outside and was not dried out in the center although I would have preferred it cooked less. They no longer serve a pickle and you hav to pay extra for onion. I am not a fan of brioche buns they can be too much bread. They would be better if grilled with butter. The fries were ok but could have been hotter. I will try some of the other items to see how they compare next time. You can no longer get a cup of chowder only a bowl. I hope the Baked Scrod and Lobster Rolls live up to their...
