The Shelby Inn — Hotel in Shelbyville

We were in town for a wedding and really enjoyed our stay. Loved the hot shower with the rainfall shower head. The bed was very comfortable, grounds were well kept and the room was INCREDIBLY clean. Cleanest room we have stayed in in a quite a while. The customer service was excellent! Loved the texts with updates, reminders and our code to our room. We didn't have to worry about a key card and that was VERY nice! The only recommendation I can share from the critiques of other members in our group (we had people attending the wedding that were in several different rooms) was that they didn't like that the coffee makers were in the bathrooms. Not a huge gripe from me though, it gave me a reason to get down to the diner, Lisa's right up the street for breakfast. I also highly recommend that. Great prices and excellent services and portions.There are also some really nice coffee shops and boutiques within walking distance and the Shelby Inn is very convenient to everything in the area....

I was disappointed after staying here. The carpet was old and looked soiled. The room was no better than that of a motel, and the phone did not work. Light fixtures had not been dusted, and the bathroom electrical outlet was jutting away from the wall! The beds were very comfortable and well-appointed. I contacted management, and the person apologized for my experience, explaining that they were renovating. When renovating, do NOT rent dysfunctional and low-quality rooms to make a buck, especially if guests are paying a lot! The manager had the audacity to tell me she hoped that we would give it another try after renovation was completed....

I was with my family in my tractor-trailer semi. I need a place to park. I was able to park my tractor trailer. I stayed in the two King room and had street view I really felt like I was apart of the neighborhood not at some industrial area commercial franchise hotels. I enjoyed feelling the Shelbyville experience . Staff is so friendly accommodating and even gave me a late check out so I was able to get everything done I needed to in the morning before my pickup. Clean comfy and close to everything It's the Best that Shelbyville has to offer hands down 5star I would give 10...
