Where do I begin-Coming from the hospitality industry myself, I was dumbfounded during my stay. This was the seventh of ten hotels on our 2-week road trip and by far the worst ever. I had reserved a king, pet-friendly room and was told during checking in, rather abruptly, there are no pet-friendly king rooms available so I was given 2 queens. Not to mention the Manager who was finishing up her shift was freely using four-letter words to describe to her co-worker the "head-hitting" fiasco she had that day. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! The location of where this property was built is absurd. On an intersection of a busy highway. The noise level from the highway directly in front of the property did not allow me to sleep...even with the fan and noise canceling machine on. First, it was the obnoxiously loud-exhaust cars that started around 5 PM. The semi-truck traffic started around 3:30 AM in the morning and did not stop. On top of that, I had a neighbor in the next room who either left their dog unattended or just blocked out the constant whining/crying from their dog. After about an hour of this, I changed clothes (out of my PJs) to walk down to the front desk and advise the staff. Please note-the lady at the front desk was very accommodating and walked up with me to knock on the guest's door. I did not stay to see if she was able to converse with them. I am assuming they did not care as their dog continued through the night but I was too exhausted to call the front desk again. I had my alarm set for 6:30 AM and wound up leaving the property around 5:45-6 AM as I was already awake. Before we left my husband put a decibel meter up to the window and it was reading at about 90 db. which is ridiculous for the level of hotel Hampton Inn is known for. As this was our first stay at this particular property it will also...
Read moreDespite having a room on the second floor, I found quite a few ants in my room
The ants seemed to be avoiding the banana nut muffin I'd bought from Safeway, so goodness knows what must be in those, but they did seem particularly interested in the coffee maker and empty sachet of "creamer"
There were about 15 or so ants on the desk, 4 in the bathroom and I found one swimming in the dregs of coffee in a cup I left next to my bed
I was going to mention this on checking out but the desk wasn't staffed
When I forgot my room card, I did use the opportunity to tell the lady who let me in that the door lock wasn't working properly. After unlocking the door, the handle outside would not lock until the deadbolt on the inside had been turned
Good job I always check my hotel room doors are locked
The manager said an engineer would be coming soon to reset the locks, but this obviously didn't help me
Lady operating the breakfast buffet worked very hard to keep things stocked, but all the cereals in the despensers were sugary-it would have been nice to have granola or raisin bran-a grown-up's cereal
I'd have left a tip but I don't take my wallet down to breakfast
Room was quite noisy. The person in the adjoining room seemed to have the television on all through the night. The TV was an old RCA and sounded very tinny. I noticed boxes and boxes of new TVs in the office by reception whilst looking for someone to tell about the ants so maybe wait until they've swapped the TVs over before staying there
Don't know why they allow dogs in hotels nowadays. There was quite an angry sounding one, barking down the corridor-perhaps the ants were...
Read moreThis Hotel was Horrible. It started out with my Digital Key allowing me to enter the side entrance where my car was parked. I get upstairs to the room and my Digital key didn't work. If it work for entrance and not the first room or the second room they moved me too then they did it on purpose. So I take all of my Luggage downstairs (a Military Veteran with a injured knee) just to get a physical key card. The room was good for a day then the AC stopped working after being preprogrammed to cut the AC on when it's 49 Degrees outside and you cut the Heat on. It started to rattle and not work and make very very Loud shaking noises. I asked for the AC to be fixed in room 203. They offer for me to relocate to a new room as Maintenance fix it. I to to room 206 where the digital key is also not working on purpose. And there is purposely grey hair all over my towels and all over the floor. They found every grey hair in the hotel and put it on my towels and gave me a room where all they did was make the bed up and not clean. Below is proof images. Don't go here this hotel is filled with Bad and Corrupt Employees and the entire staff needs to be replaced. This is coming from a Military Veteran with an injured knee who is also a Hilton Diamond Member! One photo is half of the wad of grey hair that was on the towel on purpose. And makeup from a previous female was on the counter the spots. I took some hair off and kept finding more. That means it was placed there on purpose because the towels are in room ready position. The staff could be Racist and Definitely Corrupt and definitely Incompetent all at...
