The very little I knew about warhammer prior to catching my 1st glimpse of Glimpses (who saw that wordplay coming?) had my inner thoughts far too willing to play out the new experience as a botched, embarrassing misadventure. But gladly I was mistaken in my assumptions. While trying something new can be intimidating, never can it be the precursor to unavoidable failure. Variety is supposed to be the spice of life and if so, Glimpses of Wonder and Warfare is where you'd find the special ingrediant to your spice rack of life without the pressure that can often be what leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Obviously, my Warhammer know-how has increased by only an incalculable amount since my visit. But I do know that the benefits of a constructive hobby can be everlasting. And also know that businesses that so enthusiasticly promote inclusion and acceptance genuinely are sadly rapidly vanishing. So while it's not a promise you'll find warhammer to be the greatest table top experience since a pizza party, I do promise you'll be able to comfortably decide that for yourself within a realm brimming with new expieriences with the most knowledgeable of guides awaiting to share with you a glimpse of something...
Read moreThis friendly local game shop is definitely one of our favorites to visit. The staff is always obliging and happy to talk to both myself, a 30-year-old nerd, as well as my young children who are just learning the ins and outs of being a gamer tabletop and otherwise. The selection is always fantastic and Even though it's a few days after the holidays they still had lots of great displays and stuff to show off which is nice to see. this store deserves much more foot traffic than it gets because of the location. My hope is that one day they will have a store more visible so that they can get the business they deserve. If you like tabletop games or card games or have kids that are into these things then definitely give this place a go. It is crucial in this day and age that you support your friendly local game store to keep the businesses alive and to keep us with...
Read moreMy husband and I stopped by at this hobby store on 11/29/23 to inquire about painting mini figurines, since he was a beginner and needed help on how to start. The owner was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. She told my husband that he is free to come by every Wednesday's night to paint, hangout, and get more painting tips from people that have been doing that as a hobby for several years. She even told my husband that she will give him a free mini sculpture/figurine to practice on and that he is welcome to use the paints on the table for free. This place definitely left a good first impression on us both. Kudos to Amy the person that helped and rang the items my husband purchased. Keep up the awesome...
