Very nice Park! There's a short, but not too short walking trail which passes over some swampy wetland where ducks and nutria swim right up. I guess they're expecting food, but I didn't have any with me. Very clean and quiet. The playground is really cool. Lots of things to climb and jump on, and big enough for the worried parent to be right along side a child at all times if they want to be. Only 4 swings, 2 child with seats you can't slip out of, 2 regular rubber strips on chains. On the South side of the park is a very short Boy Scouts trail that's a little treachous and has no railing, but it's not dangerous if you're careful. All in all the crowd here was friendly parents and kids and friendly older people getting a stroll in. Very nice place, and no sign of the problems that plague public parks in Portland and other big cities. My a sign of a hypodermic needle anywhere. I parked on the street, but there is a small...
Read moreExcellent park, built on a hillside near Old Downtown Sherwood. Large, beautiful play structure near top of hill (and the street)was recently redone (summer 2018) and is now wheelchair accessible, a major plus. Lots of access for those with vision, hearing, sensory disabilities as well. Note pictures in older reviews are obsolete. Bathrooms are near it, including a family one. A macadam walkway curves down the hill to the bandshell, where there are tables and a picnic shelter. Nature trails lead through a wetlands, along a creek, depending on rainfall and time of year. Parking lot is across the street. Would give 5 stars if the lower park had toilets, hillside was developed more and had...
Read moreMy family walks here all the time, kids enjoy the well-maintained playground, and there are a number of events during the summertime that bring us to this park frequently. The main path from the parking ground leads you to an elevated walkway/bridge that traverses a beautiful wetland/pond area where my kids are fond of feeding the ducks and searching for other wildlife that abounds in this area (Frogs, cranes, turtles, beaver, nutria, deer, etc.!). This park is a natural centerpiece of the Old Town area, and the city of Sherwood does a great job in keeping it...
