I randomly found this place online and went to try it out for the first time today and all I can say is, OH MY LANTA! Upon entering you immediately feel welcomed and are seated fairly quickly. The staff is friendly and they were very well versed and ready with answers to any questions we had about items on the menu. As you look around, you begin to notice all the details within the decor including the carved and painted scenes on the booths and chairs, something I hadn't seen before (the carvings that is). This place is clean and did not at all feel "grimey". Portions were large and their Quesataco Birria tacos were amazing. They also have incredible carne asada fries that are hard to come by. Overall this place should be added to your playbook for Mexican food if you're in the Sherwood area or even just passing through. I highly recommend it!!

I was reluctant given some reviews but this was a pleasant surprise! I LOVED the recommended stuffed poblano pepper with added shrimp. I wouldn't normally order something like this and I'm so grateful I did. This was probably one of the best Mexican dishes I've ever had. The crema salsa was perfect with the delicate pepper, cheese, shrimp, and bacon. You gotta try it!! Partner ordered the asada and it was tender and light. No it's not heavily seasoned but it is seasoned enough and is lovely. Rice and beans are good. Corn tortillas were fluffy. We loved the fresh salsa which was unique and seemed to have some chipotle or some other smokiness I can't pinpoint. The chips were okay. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We’ve lived in Sherwood 5 years and had never been inclined to visit a strip mall taqueria. Thought it was probably like a chain fast food taco place. But after seeing multiple posts on Facebook we decided it was worth exploring. After our first meal there we’re now thinking it’s our favorite—by far—Mexican eatery. While a tad bit $$, the Perfect Margarita was exactly that. (& my husband does not usually even like margaritas). Everything was delicious, the service was prompt and friendly and the ambience took us back to Mexico. In other words, it warrants all 5 stars.

Had to try the birria shredded beef crunchy tacos - a new addition to the menu. I ordered online: 3 birria crunchy tacos and 1 carne asada crunchy taco. When I arrived to pick up my order, they had no knowledge of it. I guess they don’t check their online orders often enough. He found the order and had it prepared ASAP. He was very nice and friendly. I live 5 minutes away and when I pulled out the birria tacos, they had already broken through and soaked the taco bottoms. They tasted good though - tasty meat, lettuce cheese and sour cream with pico de Gallo. For $2.50, it was okay. The carne asada taco was tasty as well - meat was on the cold side, but there was a small container of guacamole in the bag so I assumed it was for this taco - that was nice. Taste was good and taco shell didn’t collapse as the birria ones had. 4 crispy tacos for $10 - good deal. I had asked for salsa with my online order but I didn’t receive any nor did I receive any chips which I thought came along. Guess not with tacos?? Removed 1 star for tacos & lack of chips & salsa. The place was clean. One employee walked in without wearing a mask and went behind the counter still without a mask. Removed two stars for that. Not sure if I would return due to unsafe...

I was very angry about my experience here. The waitress asked if we wanted guacamole after she brought out complimentary chips and dip. I thought it was part of the chips and dip as the waitress never mentioned a charge of $8. When I was ordering my dish, a burrito, she asked if I wanted rice and beans. She never mentioned that there was another extra charge for this, so I thought it was part of the dish ($1.5 or $3 i forgot). Then my dad asked for extra sour cream as there was not a lot on his chimichunga and he does not normally eat a lot of sauce. The waitress brought him a tiny sauce dish of sour cream for $1.50. The extra charges tacked on over $10 to the bill! The food tasted like it was bought prepackaged and had a chemical, stale taste and the soda was flat with hardly any carbonation. I couldn't belive anybody would come here again. The staff/restaurant are predatory; especially in this economy when things are so tight! The food tasted worse than something I could microwave and was bland, bland, bland. Please beware of any upcharges they never tell you about, and the suspect quality...

So, I will start saying, I'm used to Tex-Mex and Southwestern style Mexican food. I've had a really hard time in the past finding good Mexican outside my home state of Arizona. This place is by far, some of the best Mexican I've had in the region of the Pacific Northwest.

It's not a super fancy shop but the menu and the food was on point. I was super happy to stumble across this place. I was passing through on my way to Portland and happened to stop here, craving some flautas and guac for a quick meal, and this place didn't disappoint. Salsa was outstanding as well.

It's not the fanciest of places, but it makes up for it in flavor. I would recommend this to any Southwestern away from home or who's moved to the area. Or in general if you want a Mexican dish that ACTUALLY has spice & flavor. Most places I've been to outside Texas, NM, and AZ only are capable of one...
