With new ownership comes a brighter future for the Siler City Motor Lodge! 🌞 Siler City Motor Lodge has been a part of this town for quite a while. Over its many years, it's past has built up a not-so-great reputation for the Lodge. But what a lot of people do not know is that the long time owner sold the place! The new owners are family oriented; as they run the place together as a family 😊 In the short time they have had ownership, they have already done many improvements! Both inside the rooms & out! New beds, bedding, flooring, toilets, lamps, dressers, everything! 😁👍 My husband, teen son, & I were staying at the Siler Lodge when the sale went thru & the new owners began settling in. They politely introduced themselves & told us about their plans/goals for the motel. This place has kind of always had a bit of a reputation lol...being an outdated, "cheap" motel, it attracted 'rifraf' of sorts... & the new owners said this was one of the biggies they planned on wasting no time on "cleaning up". These new owners have made it apparent that they are not wasting any time cleaning up this place inside & out! 😁 That includes the type of "regulars" that use to be known to frequent this place. One of the first things they did was give some very much needed clean, clear, bright light to the outside walkway area in front of the motel room doors. When night fell, it was usually very dimly lit, so this was a great first improvement! My family & I are going thru a difficult time as many families are lately. Finding rentals is near impossible. So the Siler City Motor Lodge has temporarily become our home. And I definitely recommend this place over the other local hotel options in the area. If you are familiar with the Siler Lodge & have had a bad experience in the past, I would encourage you to give the place another shot next time you find yourself in need of a hotel in...
Read moreWe stayed here for one night. As first time visitors to the area we went with the reviews to make a choice of a motel along with the online description . I have learned my lesson. The room we had looked like someone had tried to break in at some point. It was very outdated from the bathroom with pink tile, galvanized pipes that leave a metal taste in the water to the outlets and light fixtures.it was probably built in the 70s and has stayed there. The bathroom door wouldn't shut all the way and wasn't clean. The fridge didn't work although the freezer did. I'm still not sure what they perceive as data ports. We had requested a smoking room which consisted of no astrays but there were burns in the bedding and chairs. The outlets were substandard with two of having burn marks and weren't even polarized. Of the 7 lamps only 2 worked and we had to wiggle one those to get it to turn on and they were covered in dust. We were very disappointed. I know the price wasn't bad, but I did expect more...
Read moreI drove from across the state and decided to stay here for Christmas. This place was absolutely disgusting, there was trash swept behind the nightstand, there were dead roaches on the floor. It was 3am and I was falling asleep and saw a bug crawl right past my eye. Mind you i saw it from the only lamp that worked in the room. We called the hotel manager and ask for a different room. He agreed and gave us a new one. As soon as we get settled he called the room accusing my family of bringing bugs into the room and demanded that we leave. We tried to reason and say that we have a new room that we’re satisfied with but he called us nasty and said we need to leave. When he was confronted we asked him if this was the first time he’d been accused of having bugs and he couldn’t even look me in the face and say no. I promise my family is very clean. That was the most terrible thing to happen at 3am Christmas morning. Very disrespectful attitude and I have never felt more uncomfortable...
