Hayley Bales Steakhouse — Local services in Siler City

So the good first. I asked for a steak rare, it was rare, that never happens. The interior is nice, very cute not to mention its next door to a delicatable ice cream parlor. THEY HAVE GOOD RANCH! And the blooming onion was cooked to perfection their onion sauce was mayo heavy.

Now the bad, the waitress (anna) seemed like she had better things to do, didnt bring any of the essentials for the table or dishes and had an attitude for everything that was asked for. The aforementioned steak was terrible seasoned-- i mean if you arent going to season it decently dont season it at all the meat itself, is a seasoning. The sides were all bad, they literally dont even have mashed potatoes... a steakhouse.. The mushroom gravy was canned. The rack O ribs was drenched in bbq sauce, (to the cook & owner-- meat has its own flavor, dont mask it.) And overcooked. A party of 2 paid 57$ I could have spent less and ate better just going to walmart. Wasnt even worth the convience.

If you want a nice night out just make the trip to greensboro, restaurants in SILER CITY, NC, prioritize income over quality.

Check your food because the manager will not call you back if they leave something out. They don't mind overpricing for what the food is, but they mind you trying to resolve that they owe you for food you paid for.

Update: went back again, two months later. The staff is very rude and careless. I asked for a tea while I waited on my to go order and after 10 minutes I went looking for it. I told her I needed it to take a goody powder while I waited, that I had a splitting headache. Even after asking she took another 5 minutes. After my food comes out she hands it to me and takes my ticket to the register, without telling me! I stand there waiting for her to bring it to me. After a minute of her not being anywhere in sight, I went to the register and said I was waiting on my ticket, she responded that she had it. I asked is that normal for them to bring it to the register, she said yes. I asked her was it normal for them not to tell you they did that and leave you standing there, she said no and apologized. We found this place on a lark after stopping for fuel in front of a small strip mall. We actually went to eat in the cafeteria but when we went in, found the steakhouse also connected. I can describe this place as unique in that you enter through a small gift shop that is reminiscent of a Cracker Barrel but is very local with its flavor. Step straight into the back and that is where the cafeteria is. To the right is the steakhouse. This is definitely an older establishment as one can see by the décor. The hostess was friendly but the waitress was great. Since we are not from the area we had a pleasant conversation with her when she came to checkup on us. Now about the food. I ordered a rib eye and sweat potato and it was cooked to Medium like I requested. Sweat Potato was very slightly over cooked but tasted fine. Salad was typical house salad, nothing special.
