We have not been to Best Foods in more than 10 years. We have never cared for the food and it only took one meal to make a determination. We found the dessert to be the best part of the meal. As part of their business model, they sell items that can be taken home such as a whole dessert pie, chicken pie, etc. The lemon meringue pie was once the absolute best pie and when in Siler City we would purchase one occasionally. We happened to visit the area on June 9, 2025. I decided to pop in and get one of those wonderful lemon pies. Remember, we have not been there in 10 or more years. I was not anticipating what I received for $10.99. The Lemon Meringue pie is now nothing more than canned sweetened condensed milk—zero lemon taste. The smell, color and taste is sweetened condensed milk. And to add insult to the $10.99 injury—the meringue is clearly powdered. To state the obvious, we will are extremely disappointed and will not be returning to Best Foods. If we were local, I would have taken the pie back and...
Read moreMy son lives in Siler City and we usually do lunch here when visiting durning week day. This is just my opinion but the sodium seems to be low in this food and this is a wonderful thing for alot of us that cant handle the sodium being high. You can add but you can't take it away. It is like a small scale K&W. This particular day they offered: salmon, stew beef with or without rice, pork chops, blackeyed peas with corn, mashed potatoes, rice, potato salad, slaw, green beans, corn bread, biscuit, also offer desserts. But you walk through the gift shop and the Cafeteria is straight ahead. There will be several freezers and fridges with food to take home and cook. The foods include main dishes like their wonderful chicken pie lasagna to desserts like cherry or strawberry cheesecake to a variety of pies. Just a great basic meal suited to fit any tastebuds. At great prices. Havent seen the salad bar open since covid so call ahead to see when it will be. For a good meal with a very reasonable price this is on the...
Read moreIt's a hometown Piccadilly, or K n W place. Old chairs n tables, great fried chicken, baked potatoes ,and southern vegebles n meat, you would eat a few decades ago at your Aunt n Uncles or Grandma's house. Prices are competively lower on some of the foods. Don't get a glass of water it taste like dirty dish water. Deserts are really good, and there is a variety. They have some decent priced take out meals with friend chicken. I hope this helps someone. Thank you to BestFood Cafeteria for your hard work serving us good food and a clean, friendly place to ear. There is a gift shop there in front , lots of items and you would think they carried 100 wool, or Linen or cotton the clothes are so cute, but I have not seen one item 100 percent fabric material yet, Definitely...
