Antojitos Mexicanos La Jarocha — Restaurant in Siler City

We were highly disappointed with the service. I used to order take out all the time from this restaurant even though the prices are ridiculous. I actually liked their food. On this particular day we ordered out food and my husband didn't like the way the torta looked. The bread was too greasy. My husband gets sick if he eats stuff like this. He let the waitress know, she said to wait, and another one of the waitresses came out to our table and said that they couldn't do anything about it. She said that is how they make them. Now like I said before we would order from them a lot, and my husband got the tortas many times before that, and they were never like this. Well my husband told her that he wouldn't eat it. The lady took the torta with her. never offered any other food. They all started acting really rude, this was like 3 or 4 waitresses in the kitchen. Not to mention there were also kids in the kitchen that they kept telling them to get out. And yes, these were their kids. So I had to go ask for the to go boxes, the girl was rude and didn't say anything to at all even after I said thank you for handing me the boxes. To our surprise when we go to pay and leave. I notice they charged us for the torta. We told her that my husband didn't eat it. Their response was that my husband ordered it so he had to pay. We told him that he didn't take not a single bite of it and they took it back into the kitchen. The lady then tells us that lifted the top bun. Like are you kidding me really?! That was the most absurd thing I had heard in my life. We could've made a bigger deal out of things but didn't. My husband paid and we left. NEVER RETURNING OR...

I would actually go out of my way to eat here. Don’t be intimidated by the exterior. This is the best authentic Mexican food you will eat. Ever. I had tacos - Al pastor and goat (omg amazing). The rice and beans are incredible. Like whose rice and beans are worth mentioning??? Theirs are. And the sauces for the tacos are the best I’ve had and I am a sauce fanatic. Also - I’m not a taco person. But these…these you will dream about. Solid chance I will find a reason to go through Siler city for this food again. Just go. ...

We were excited to try this place, and we weren’t overly disappointed by the food, but when we paid the bill we were astonished. $23.51 for just two tortas?!? That’s highway robbery. The tortas had good bread, but were lacking on filling, especially the meat and they weren’t overly flavorful and didn’t come with any sides or anything to justify such a high price tag....
