I don’t even know where to begin. From the beginning the service here was extremely awful.

The manager on duty Quida was very dismissive and unwilling to help in any way.

The first day when we checked in we were told they had to switch our room from a queen to a king this was because they saw that there was only one adult on the booking so they thought it was okay to do so. There were 4 of us and we asked if we could get the original double queen room as we booked instead. They said no and that they were fully booked and assigned us the King. We accepted this and went to the room they assigned. The room really was not to our liking so we went back to the desk and asked if we could get a discount or refund so we can go to a different hotel which is when they said they will switch us to a double queen. While Quida was switching rooms for us I asked “why would a single person want a double queen room?” To which she responded “I don’t know a lot of people do. When it’s your first time at a hotel you make booking mistakes like this”. Even if it was our mistake that we only had one adult name on the booking she was very mean about it.

The room we got switched to 415 was very dirty it had brown stuff in the sink and the garbage was not changed. Since we already felt bad about the way the manager spoke to us I decided not to even bother. She came to our room later and let us know the room she put us in was not actually meant to be used and switched us to a different double queen room. We were fine with this since we didn’t want to be in the dirty room anyways. Quida did not apologize or speak nicely to us when she switched us over I let it go since I figure it was from her annoyance from earlier.

The next day while we’re were leaving we were in need of a trash bag. When my brother went to go ask for one he called it a plastic bag instead of a trash bag so Quida told him they didn’t have any. I went down after and asked her “do you not have any trash bags?” To which she responded “he asked for a plastic bag”. She grabbed me some trash bags and handed them to me without saying a word.

At check out I asked for her managers number and told her that I was really disappointed with the service. She responded by saying “your boy was rude too he asked me for a plastic bag in a rude way and I don’t like your attitude either I will let my manager know what you were like as well” at this point she was yelling at me. I told her that I’m speaking with her calmly and I’d appreciate it if she spoke with an indoor voice. She then rolled her eyes and walked away.

It was very upsetting because I have never been someone who complains or even writes reviews but she made us all feel awful.

We are in Springfield every year for a soccer tournament. I will be letting our coach know to never book this place again. The other parents we spoke to didn’t seem to have any problems with their rooms but agreed that Quida was...

I took a group of students and stopped here on our way to Indianapolis. When we booked the rooms, there were too many booked for us, so we called to fix it on the 20th and only have 3 rooms reserved and to switch my card to a different card. They said they would fix it. Upon arriving, they still had NOT cancelled the rooms and said they were just going to hold them "just in case" we needed them despite me saying we only needed three. Here I am thinking that they would take them off after, but NO. They left all of the rooms on our account. When my group of students went up to their room, they discovered someone else was staying in that room. I told the staff and they seemed genuinely confused like that could not be a possibility... but it was! So, they gave us one of the rooms they "held for us just in case." The next morning, I went up to the desk before check out to confirm that the right card was on the account (just due to me not trusting this was done since the rooms weren't taken off) and they hadn't put the right card on the account. Instead, they marked it as "Cash." I got the card added to the rooms that we were in and asked if we were going to get charged for the rooms that we weren't using since they weren't supposed to be on there in the first place and they said that we shouldn't. Next thing I know, I check my bank statement and I was charged for TWO more rooms. Despite me calling multiple times, I could not get ahold of a manager. I was told if I cancel my rooms the day of, we still get charged and the person on the phone did not seem to understand that we TRIED cancelling on the 20th over the phone because 6 weren't supposed to be booked in the first place. After a couple of attempts, I asked when the manager would be there and the lady on the phone laughed a little and told me she didn't know! and "Maybe after 10." After calling later, another lady gave me some time estimates. I left my name and number after one of the first calls and I still have not heard back from a manager over a week later. I am absolutely not happy with the service and I don't recommend anyone stay here until the service gets fixed.

The saving grace was that at least my room seemed clean and it was a...

Made a reservation here well in advance for a visit . The main concern with staying in the area was being near the location. We would be spending most of our time. Made the reservation directly through the front desk at the property and was informed that they were only a few minutes away from the location. We were hoping to be close to. once we arrived, we discovered that it was actually almost 4 times as far away as they had told me. Also, during the stay noticed several things about the hotel that were not fully acceptable. We couldn’t get the door to open to the room multiple times during the stay. also, the pillows are not even regular full-size pillows. They are small little squares wrapped in pillowcases. Our particular room was missing half of the window curtain. All in all not the most pleasant stay. After leaving, I got in contact with choice hotels to complain about the situation and I was put in touch with the property manager. The property manager, then went on to be argumentative and tell me that the people at the reservation call center had misinformed me when I made the reservation, but that’s not the case because I made the reservation through the front desk of the hotel and actually confirmed that that’s how it was made with choice hotels. A hotel is in the hospitality industry, which means sometimes you need to face up to your mistakes and make the guest happy, having worked in hotels for a long time I am aware of that. It may not be everybody’s favorite thing to do, but this hotel definitely did not want to face up to the fact that mistakes were made and was not interested in being helpful. I was able to get a satisfactory resolution through choice hotels however if that’s how you have to come about your resolution my best bet is to probably not stay at this property in the future. If you’re just looking for a hotel room in the Springfield area and you don’t mind staying way outside of downtown then feel free to book here, but I will not give a recommendation for this property because they chose to not only provide a less than satisfactory stay, but they also chose to argue When concerns...

Not happy with our stay, it was one right by a factory which wasn’t very nice and the curtains don’t block out the light. The room was disgusting, I had an infant daughter the floors were so gross. And the afternoon staff at the front desk was so incredibly rude. I actually had to ask for a vacuum to re vacuum my room. The only nice person was a gentleman in the morning. Also I found it very rude especially being pregnant one of the workers rolled up her joint in the lobby, went outside to smoke and then came back in, I don’t think that is very professional to do especially on company property. I don’t care what you do in your free time but it shouldn’t be where customers can see or smell it. It was in a safe location but I wouldn’t stay here ever again, next time I would get an air bnb as I have found they are way cleaner than these hotels now a days. Not worth $130/night, room was also so small our pack n play barely fit. The only good thing was that gentleman who helped me in the morning and the breakfast was good, breakfast attendants were so rude though.

I made a reservation through my employer's travel tool and paid with my work credit card. When I arrived, they had my reservation printed out on the counter and, as I offered my credit card and ID to check in, the clerk pointed at a sign on the covid glass stating that they were only taking cash or a corporate lodging card—I had neither. The employee explained that their computers were being upgraded, they wouldn't be back online for 28 [sic] more hours, and my only option was to pay in cash. They didn't call me, they didn't email me; they waited until I arrived at 5:30 p.m., after a 10-hour drive to tell me this. I understand something unplanned but 28 hours of downtime for a computer upgrade? Isn't that a planned event that should account for continuity of business? Even if was unplanned, don't they have any sort of back up plan? They could have welcomed me in and charged me the next day, or when I checked out three days later. This was messed up on multiple levels. Never, ever again will I go to a Country Inn & Suites. Beware.

Ok place. Absolutely nothing special to rave about. My likes & concerns: -Likes- the bed is soft and there are plenty of outlets in convenient places for charging stuff(12). There's a desk big enough to do whatever you need to do. Also there's a thermostat you can control the a/c & heat. Mini fridge and microwave in rooms. Plenty of towels. -Concerns-(a lot) the tv is tiny and the huge tv stand makes it look smaller. Cleanliness is a major concern the remote and lamp were dirty & sticky. 2 of the 3 pillows had slight staining. Not sure if it was stains from someone's wet hair or ones that just didn't come out after washing. There's a sizeable urine stain on the toilet. Mirror was poorly cleaned. Looks like toothpaste spit spots weren't completely cleaned off. The comforters were so used that the stuffing was broken up & collecting in corners of the pockets. When you look at the pic, you will see how bumpy the made up bed looks. To end on a good note, the front desk attendant was nice.
