I pre paid thru a 3rd party hotel provider because as a state law enforcement employee I wanted to take advantage of my union discount. I arrive and Mr Patel cant find my reservation in his Expedia group email. I told him I didnt book with them. I booked with HotelStorm. He asks me to call customer service, I oblige. The agent asks him if he will do a courtesy check in while they figure out how to get him his money. He implies yes and hangs up. I confirm, he asks me to pay and once the reservation comes thru he will refund....I have created a budget for my vacation and dont want them to hold my money, so no. I call HotelStorm back and ask them to expedite the process because all this back and forth, its been 30 mins. We have an exchange about the Expedia group because I recall the lady saying they are with Destinations across the World, not Expedia. He insists all reservations come thru Expedia, he is failing to pay attn to detail, I leave it alone! Mr Patel finally gets a call back, is given the hotel confirmation number, turns around and grabs the reservation info from the FAX MACHINE!!!! I booked an hour prior to arrival, and I had been standing there for 30 mins, so you mean to tell me because of his incompetence, I have been here in his face and not once before I arrived did he check his fax machine. Really?! I get my room key and I am on my way! This place really needs an update ... cracked and peeling paint in the bathroom! The mattresses slump at the bottom, clearly they need to be replaced! And what hotel still has box TVs!? I didn't even bother turn it on! They had housekeeping for the rooms, but no care to the outside because there was cobwebs everywhere... And because the elevator is outdoors and smells like someone relieved themselves near it! Check out was anything but smooth! I awake at 1052am and realize I dont recall what time check out is. I call and speak to a lady, ask about late check out, they dont do that unless I want to pay for another night. She tells me I have 10 mins. I can work with that until she knocks on the door 5 mins later. Now I have to stop my rush of packing up to answer the door to talk to you. Convo over, I go back to packing and the housekeeper BANGS on the door promptly at 11am..who does that?! Guess who the house keeper is, Mr Patel. And he is cranky, I would be too if I worked the front desk all night & now at 11am, I am also housekeeping! We exit the room & my son realizes that he cant find his charger, as he turns to go back in the room, I have turned in the room key at this point, Mr Patel runs to slam the door. I ask can he open the door for us to check for our charger, he is waving his hand about how we have to get another key, he isnt front desk, he is housekeeping. I have to talk to the lady downstairs. I go downstairs, and in politeness ask her name, she doesn't want to give it to me, cuz she know they are wrong! I ask to be let in the room to check for our charger. She says you have to talk to Mr Patel because he is the one who checked me in...so now we playing 2 against the middle. I told her his response when I asked initially. But she wants nothing to do with it. Reluctantly I go back upstairs and ask again....let me say I have been nothing but polite, in spite his display of incompetence, stubbornness, unprofessionalism, and plain rudeness. Now he fixes his mouth to say I was rude during check in...really, but again he is housekeeping now and doesn't have time to walk 2 rooms over to let us check for my son's charger. My other teenager hears all this and says the next step is to call the police....Ive done what they asked and I get disrespect and rudeness in return, so do it. As she is calling, a different lady walks up & asks what do I need, I explain that we may have left a phone charger in the room, I just want to check, we are not from the area! Let me say in an effort to abide by their check out....I am still in my PJ's! This dump isn't worth the 2...
Read moreThe older lady who was managing the front desk was very rude. I stayed 3 nights and was accused of breaking a bed in the room I had the first 2 nights. The microwave didn't work the first 2 nights and when I asked for a new one she was very rude and told me there was no one there who could replace the microwave for me. She acted as if my business was an inconvenience. Then when I came back for the final night I stayed she accused me of breaking a bed from the room I used the first 2 nights. The room had 2 beds and I slept in one bed and I know for certain the bed I slept in wasn't broken so the other bed might have been broke but it had to have been that way before I stayed cause I never used that bed.
The last night I stayed I booked through Expedia and didn't get the room that I booked on the website and when I asked why she was giving me a different room I hadn't booked she got an attitude with me and threatened to not let me stay.
Both rooms were gross especially the bathrooms. A friend and his wife arrived at 7am Tuesday morning 3/22/21 to pick me up and hungout in the room until it was time to checkout which was 11am, I checked out at around 10:30am. When I went to check out I was told that I wouldn't get the $20 deposit back, when I asked why she informed me that since my friend and his wife had come to me room at 7am that morning I had broken the visiting hours rules (there was nothing mentioned to me nor was there anything posted about visiting hours.) I tried to explain that the visitors were my ride but she continuously interrupted me and when I asked why I wasn't told about the "visiting hours" rule she told me that they didn't have to let me know about the rule and that they didn't have to have the rule posted for customers to see??? So I was denied both refunds $40 total which I would have had no problem with if there would have been a logical reason. The unprofessionalism by management was enough that I will never stay another night at the...
Read moreThe decor is aesthetically pleasing but does not match the expectations instilled by the photos displayed in their online portfolio. I asked for a crib for my child but the front desk attendant said they only had one and it was already being used by another guest. The parking arrangements seem adequate but they require much needed maintenance, i.e. repaved & repainted. There is only one ice machine provided for all the guest and from my room it required going down a flight of steps, walking across the parking lot to the other side of the facility, going up a different flight of steps, walking across a long gallery and when i arrived there was a sign warning not to dispense to much ice. There was no ceiling fan in my room nor was there ventilation in the bathroom. The wifi was free but open and unsecured leaving it bogged down and slower than my cell phone service. I tried to unwind at the end of the day with a bit of tv but the tv picture was abnormally dark and provided no features in which to adjust it. However, after surfing through the far to little channels of programming the picture bothered me less than the lack of options. The cable to the tv stuck out like a sore thumb, it came out from the north wall only to be tucked between the baseboard and the carpet until it ran in front of the bathroom entrence on the west wall before it reached the entertainment stand. It seemed very unprofessional. The rod was missing from the toliet papper holder. There was a musty smell to the room and needs deodorized. The bedding was fine and there was a single cup coffee...
