Head West Sub Stop — Restaurant in Springfield

I love Head West but this location is consistently disappointing. Food quality is similar, but this location can never get its act together. Staff is pleasant, but always seems puzzlingly overwhelmed. Their collective bewilderment is present whether there are 2 customers or 20 (I’ve eaten their enough to see both sides). A key problem seems to be a lack of communication among staff and with customers. My last visit, picking up an online order took 40 minutes. And when mine and other orders were finally ready, the staff didn’t let us know, even though we all had checked in already (for me, after waiting in line for 20 minutes - for a previously-placed online order). This location lacks any semblance of organization. A real shame since it’s a “flagship” store near the downtown...

Called to order and the manager on Denver Dr. was on the phone like I was bothering her. Then when I asked to put the tip on the credit card, she got even more of an attitude. Then she didnt thank me for my order or nothing. So called back and advised that should thank customers for orders and they then cancelled my order without telling me. When I called back an hour and 14 minutes later they said they had banned me from ordering because I had an attitude. I hope the owner can contact me because I have the call recorded and that lady needs to be let go or reprimanded if thats how she is going to treat...

Stopped here today to get sub on my lunch hour. Ordered and asked that the sub get run through the oven twice. Paid the lady and reminded her to put it through twice. She agreed. So 20 minutes later, she asked what I had and I again reiterated. The sandwich wasn't in the oven. Apparently the sandwich maker never made it because it never came out of the oven. No apologies. I was running late and couldn't wait around another 20 minutes so maybe they would make it this time.

Sad, because they do have great subs. There are other local sub shops to eat...
