Lovely. Me and two family members went here and each got a pizza. We each ate about three slices and saved the rest for later. The crust is great and pillowy, while still being decently thin. A person in our group is celiac and got a GF pizza. She has not had a reaction to eating the pizza here, she loves the crust. We ordered a half salad, the ingredients were fresh and crisp, no soggy tomatoes or shriveled lettuce. We also got the spinach artichoke dip, it was SO delicious. Though my only complaint is there isn’t very much of it! At the end we got three tiramisu and a GF brownie, the tiramisu is delightful! The waiters don’t come by very often, which I quite like as it gives us time to talk without being interrupted. The food comes out quickly and is hot. They don’t have fountain drinks, only bottled, which is alright, though not my preference. I wouldn’t say it’s family friendly, but at the same time, it isn’t as if you cannot bring you kids here. As long as they are well behaved and quiet I don’t think they’ll be a problem. It was quiet when we went (5 pm) but started to get busy as we were leaving. The seating area is small but it’s organized well. After we were done eating and at check out an employee, we are assuming the owner, was very interested in our feedback. He wanted to know what we got and how we liked it, he was very friendly and cared about his customers experiences. Parking wasn’t great, but it’s downtown so it was expected, be prepared to walk about a block. Overall, we had an amazing experience and will definitely...
Read moreI was so excited to try the pizza carbonara. I travel regularly and always research the restaurants I eat at while I visit. I made a 6:30 reservation for 3. When we showed up, we sat ourselves after waiting for a bit for one of the 3 people working who walked by us to acknowledge us. They never did so we sat down at a table that said reserved and was set for 3. We waited and waited for one of the 3 servers to stop by our table. We never even got menus. We looked on our phones at the menu and decided to just keep waiting. Servers passed us every couple minutes. (2 girls and 1 man). They avoided ever making eye contact or talking to us at all. We thought maybe at some point someone would tell us they would be with us shortly. There were 7 other tables seated divided among the 3 servers. Clearly they were busy so we were patient and kept waiting. After a full 20 minutes and a phone call to Saputos to make a reservation there, we walked out. We walked by 1 of the female servers who had walked by us 10 times atleast and she still never even made eye contact or said a word. I get being busy and am always happy to be patient and wait. No acknowledgement what so ever is inexcusable. A simple "we will be with you shortly" in a 20 minute time frame would have been...
Read moreThis was the worst experience I have had at any Springfield restaurant. You order and pay before the food comes out, like Pie's the Limit - or at least we did. However other tables were ordering from the table. I am not sure why. We then waited 30 minutes for our food to come out and were completely ignored by the staff the whole time. Meanwhile many other tables that came in after us were getting their food. Then I went back to the counter I ordered at to ask what was taking so long, and to refill my own drink, though other tables were being brought drinks by servers. ~5 minutes later the manager came over and said it was a problem with their printer that had delayed our food. Another 10 or so minutes and our food came out (so this is about 45 minutes after paying). The pizza crust was way too thick, undercooked, and soggy. The pasta was fine but nothing special. No one came to ask us how it was, and in fact we were once again ignored until we left. No reparations were made for the fact that we waited three times longer than the other customers. This is not the type of service I expect anywhere, but especially when paying over $30 for two...
