I always stay here when my boyfriend is working in town because it’s great location and the housekeepers are great. I would love to give this hotel 5stars but after my last visit I can barely give 1 star. In may I had booked a room for a couple nights and needed to extend it for another night. Emily at the front desk was having trouble getting my payment to go through their system, it already showed it was pending on my bank account but wouldn’t finalize on her end. She said they would call me or come to the room if they had any questions. No one ever came by or called until I started getting alerts that my card was trying to be charged again over and over. I went and asked why and the lady was very nice said that it wouldn’t come out of pending status. I told her if it still was showing pending the next morning that i would just pay cash and have them cancel the other charge. I was in the shower when they started beating on the door telling me I had not paid for my stay and they were very rude and acted like I was trying to not pay when the fact was that Emily had done something wrong when extending my stay but I was being blamed for it. I then paid with cash and they said it would release the pending charge immediately and they were sorry for the mix up. I was good with that because anyone can make a mistake. Fast forward a month and the charge is still showing pending in my account and I can’t access those funds but then it finally dropped off. I booked another stay 2 months later only to be told I was on the do not rent to list for nonpayment. To my surprise it was Emily that was telling me this and that there was nothing she could do about it even though it was already paid for and I showed her the receipt of where I paid cash the last time that they were now saying I didn’t pay. Still nothing she could do. I will never try to stay there again and all the people from my boyfriends company refuses to go back there as well. So I hope Emily is taken aside and retrained on how to extend a stay correctly so they do not lose more...
Read moreAlthough I did ask for a smoking room, I will not again. I am a light smoker and the smoke in there was so heavy I had to leave the door open for a few hours. The lamp did not work, and the shades are dark and dingy. I could not see well in the room at all. The bedspread needs to be washed. Upon walking in the receptionist or manager said I could not stay there because I am a resident of Springfield. I said no I am not anymore. If I was, I would be staying at my home. My license and car registration Showed I live in Tx. I come down for business and dr appointments every June and December and we figured out that I am not getting my Choice rewards because they have my old landline on there. That is one of the reasons I stay there. I never eat there, as I am up and going before breakfast plus I eat healthy. The charge they said I would have was 20.00 higher then quoted. I do not know how Choice rewards can get away with this. I never ask for housekeeping when I am there, I keep my room clean. Just when I leave. This is close to everything another reason I stay, but this will be the last time I stay there. Too many around that area that are nicer. The manager or receptionist is very nice. She just said good look getting your number changed with Choice reward and getting your credits. I have stayed there 7 times in 3 years and to know I have no credit with your hotel is horrible. You need to change that. Please wash your bedspreads I had to leave my clothes in the car. And update a few lampshades. It would help a lot with the appearance. Amazon has a Ozone machine for less than 100 dollars that would go a long way to helping with the odor of that room. I had to take a shower when I got in and another the next morning to get the smoke smell off. And I am a smoker. I have managed 15,000 Multihousing units in San Antonio and it was rare that one unit with smokers in it was ever that bad. If it was it was painted and...
Read moreThe door entry system on the room was broken. The manual door lock was broken. The sink drain was stopped and wouldn’t drain at all. The toilet was not bolted down and wobbled enough to make it nearly unusable. There was brown substance streaking the shower walls. The chair and ottoman were stained brown (had originally been pale green). The (originally white) curtains were stained dark yellow and streaked. We were offered no assistance and were denied a change of room until we demanded a refund. The room we were switched to for the night had most of the outlets non-functioning and others had such low voltage they couldn’t charge a cell phone. The ceiling showed extensive water damage which had not been repaired but simply painted over - poorly. The bathtub drain was stopped up. The door lock system was faulty on it as well. Staff indicated they knew the door mechanisms didn’t work. I was lied to by customer service regarding ownership of the hotel. Staff again acknowledged that this was known to happen. Customer service representatives in your call centers weren’t knowledgeable and were extremely rude. The photos on the website were fraudulent and of a different property than the one at the address. I will never stay at any choice hotel ever again and if there is an opportunity to join a class action lawsuit against the company, I intend to do so and offer all the testimony, evidence, and support I can give. My stay at your property not only cost me monetarily, it also caused severe...
