Ask for Minoo Lakani - You will not be disappointed!!! I’m a repeat customer at this loation & yesterday I worked directly with Minoo Lakani! She has over 15 years of experience in the industry – but experience without patience means nothing! What I will tell you first hand is that Minoo Lakani Is BOTH patient and knowledgeable. I called randomly looking for a new replacement mattress and she offered me first hand white glove service from start to finish. I wanted the exact brand as I previously owned but the new model. Instantly Minoo asked if she could text me her phone number so I could text her images of my old mattress. From that moment she used her skills to cross to the new model AND provide me three additional options. She asked such detailed questions such as height & weight (if I didn’t mind) – type of sleeper, side, stomach, back, etc. Any past or present pains and pressure issues, the list of questions went on and for good reason. She shared her personal experience with the brands she owns and owned in the past – and was HIGHLY focused on me being happy and resting well. Once Minoo was able to help me narrow down my selection – she reached out to the manufacturer directly to see if there were any additional sales or promotions she could provide me with to get me a good deal! Minoo was focused on me being a REPEAT customer – Not just a one time transaction. While I could have placed the order online Minoo went above and beyond and placed the order online for me with the delivery details and simply e-mailed me a link to pay. I was nervous about the inventory & she wanted to assure me the mattress was mine! Once I paid online – she sent me my order confirmation; called the warehouse & confirmed the bed was earmarked for me & would indeed deliver as promised. Minoo did not try to pressure me into anything & was simply an advisor and source of knowledge. I am now making an additional purchase with Minoo and referring all of my friends and family to her. To be clear, the sales staff were fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and answered all my questions. I have no complaints about their professionalism or attitude. However, the way they handled the credit card process was completely unacceptable. The salesperson pushed me to open a credit account with Synchrony Bank, promising 3% cash back and other benefits. Trusting their explanation, I signed up. Afterwards, I called Synchrony Bank to confirm the details. That’s when I learned I do not qualify for the rebate due to one of the requirements was NOT met for the 3% cash back as promised. If there were extra requirements or restrictions, the salesperson should have been upfront and honest before encouraging me to open the account. It gets worse. When I called the Mattress Firm, the person who answered simply told me I needed to talk to the bank about rebates—completely washing their hands of the issue. When I called the bank, they just gave me another number to call, sending me in circles. So, when Mattress Firm promises they are “there to help you,” what they really mean is they’ll just hand you the 1-800 number for the credit card company and leave you to figure it out yourself. When I pressed the store about the help they promised, their response was, “Yes, we are helping you—we’re giving you the bank’s number.” That is NOT support. That is passing the buck and taking no responsibility for the misleading information they provided. I feel completely misled and taken advantage of. This kind of sales tactic is unacceptable, especially when it involves opening a credit line and impacting your finances. If you’re considering a purchase here, be extremely cautious and verify every single claim about credit card offers or rebates yourself. Do not trust what you’re told in the store. Again, while the staff were polite, the management and sales tactics regarding credit accounts are misleading and the so-called “support” is non-existent. About five years ago, I purchased a mattress from Mattress Firm. Unfortunately, it began to sag prematurely, but thankfully I was approved for a warranty and given $2,700 in store credit. I decided to upgrade to the Tempur-Pedic Pro Adapt 2.0 Firm, which cost more than my credit, leaving me to cover the remaining $1,584. After finalizing the financing agreement, I discovered that the same mattress was listed online at 30% off—which would have reduced my out-of-pocket cost to around $200.
Naturally, I reached out to the original salesperson to try to revise the agreement, but they were unable to secure the discounted deal. I then called Mattress Firm customer service, but they couldn’t make the adjustment either.
As a last-ditch effort, I visited the Mattress Firm location in Sterling—30 minutes before closing—and met Leyland. I explained my situation, and although he couldn’t find the mattress at the sale price due to it being sold out, he went above and beyond. He made several calls and eventually located a higher-end Tempur-Pedic Luxe Adapt mattress.
While the Luxe Adapt was out of my budget, I was impressed by the effort. Leyland then surprised me: because the online sale had never been presented to me initially, he offered to waive the entire difference and swap out my old mattress for the Luxe Adapt—no additional cost, no taxes, nothing. Just a clean swap.
He managed to make all of this happen within 30 minutes before closing—something few people would take the time or effort to do. His professionalism, empathy, and dedication to customer satisfaction truly stood out.
