Purchased a large sectional a couple weeks ago at this location in Sterling. Was not a good experience at all. The couch was missing 3 pillows and the manager did nothing. She said she can’t discount the furniture and was not willing to work with me at all. She told me to open up a credit card and that would give me a discount. I don’t need to hit my credit for a discount, that is just rude and bad customer service.
Then I asked about shipping to my house because Homesense advertises same day delivery or quick delivery. Come to find out, Homesense does not do deliveries and just has a brochure for you to contact them. So their advertising lies. The store gave me a brochure for BlackHorse Express, so I contacted them. They are not a legit business and have no business license. There is no website to check the legitimacy of the business and it seems like a scam. The store had no idea what the business was, they just said to scan the QR code and someone would come. Sounds so legit….
So I tried BlackHorse Express and it was a mess. They do not have a phone number to call and take an hour to get back by text. When I finally set up the delivery (took 12 hours texting), they tell me the helper couldn’t help. I told them I would help, but now they were delayed hours. They finally delivered the sectional stacked in a trailer at 9pm when it was dark. Unprofessional and threatened me on texts several times.
Avoid this Homesense and the rude foreign manager. She was not helpful at all. She even had to get a cashier to translate for her because she couldn’t speak English. How can she manage a...
Read morePower trip store manager who thinks he owns HomeSense. I love the Home Goods and HomeSense brand. I worked for them for 5 years and their customer service is always exceptional. Apparently it’s not to the Sterling HomeSense manager I encountered. I didn’t catch his name but he wore black square framed glasses and had a top knot haircut. Was he on a power trip the night I shopped. The item I was buying had some damage to it and wasn’t on clearance so I figured I’d see if they would take anything additional off. I was told no which I was fine with bc I was just curious. It wasn’t that he told me no that rubbed me wrong but his approach to the whole thing. He gave me some weird excuse about their tag system and how I should expect items to be damaged bc that’s how everything came to the store. I told him that seemed humorous bc I’ve never heard that before nor was told that about store items when I worked for HG for 5 years. Guess he didn’t like that so he stood their watching me finish checking out. I explained he didn’t need to watch me finish checking out. I appreciate him answering me question and that he could leave. His exact words were “I’m the store manager. It’s my store and I can do whatever I want”. I was so thrown off by the entire thing I immediately returned the item...
Read moreThe assistant manager Paola made my experience so awful I ended up not picking up 2 leather barrel chairs I had paid for on hold. When I went to pick the chairs they pulled it out of the stock room right away I noticed there is a long cut on the side of the chair & also the stitching is already unraveling. I told Paola I did not see both of these when I purchased it & she began saying it was like that on the floor went back & forth she continued to argue with me & would not budge on reducing the price on a $700 dollar chair. Her tone was very rude & she had so much attitude I decided to leave without taking the 2 chairs. Spoke to another employee told her what happened, few days later I got a call if I was going to pick up I explained my experience with Paola it was just ignored & no store manager took the time to call & apologize & make things better. I will never return to this store in the future! I’m sure if you have shopped at this location you’ve had similar experience it is a very...
