I recently visited Benares Xpress with about 13 friends and I have to say, it was an amazing experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The ambiance of the restaurant was perfect, with a blend of traditional and modern decor, creating a comfortable and inviting space.
The service was top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff who were always ready to assist us with our needs. They were knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations, making our dining experience even more enjoyable.
Now, let's talk about the food. We started with some appetizers, including the Hariyali chicken tikka, Malai Chaap and Gobi 65. All dishes were bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The chicken was tender and juicy, while the gobi had a nice crunch to it. We couldn't stop raving about these appetizers. For our main dishes, we tried the Rajasthani Junglie Maas and Dhaba Wala Murgh. Both dishes were exceptional. The Rajasthani Junglie Maas had a perfect balance of spices and the meat was cooked to perfection. The Dhaba Wala Murgh was equally delicious, with tender chicken in a rich and flavorful gravy. We also ordered some naan and rice to accompany our dishes, and they were the perfect accompaniment.
To wash down our meal, we ordered some cocktails and I have to say, the Mumbai Mule was one of the best cocktails I have ever had. It had the perfect blend of flavors, with just the right amount of flavor. And the copper frozen vessel it is served in puts it over the top. It was refreshing and went perfectly with our meal.
Overall, our dining experience at this Indian restaurant was fantastic. The ambiance, service, food, and drinks were all top-notch. The appetizers were amazing, the main dishes were fantastic, and the Mumbai Mule cocktail is a must-try. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great Indian dining experience. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes...
Read moreArrived a few minutes after 9p the other day with a friend to place a take-out order. When I had checked online, I read that they closed at 9:30p...could be inaccurate or maybe it was just super slow that night because they had locked the doors. We were about to turn around when they unlocked the doors and encouraged us to come in and order. Not only were they patient while we figured out what we were going to order, but they pulled out chairs for us to sit down and filled water glasses for us to drink while we waited. The manager then came over with 2 mango lassi drinks for us on the house. Food was up very quickly and we left. When we got out to the car, the hostess came back out with napkins for the order that I hadn't even thought to grab.
We had felt so awful initially that they opened back up, but they all made us feel so comfortable and gave above-and-beyond service, all with a smile, even though I'm sure they were all exhausted and wanted to go home. To top it off, the food was just as good as it has been during previous visits at normal hours. Will definitely be back and...
Read moreWe were in the area and decided to have a quick tea but ended up having dinner as well. There were multiple factors which prompted me to write this review. Will start with the good.
Pros: we ordered tandoori chaap which was really yummy and was one of the factors for us deciding to have dinner as well. Unfortunately this was the only good thing we found in our order.
Cons: we also ordered chicken Momo's which was nothing but the Costco chicken momo for 4 times the price. We ordered paneer paratha but the one on our plate was cheese paratha. Please stop cheating people with wrong information. Aloo paratha was on a different level all together. Simply put, the worst filling we have ever tasted. Everything in the menu was overly priced and quantity was too less. $14 for a medium sized paratha doest make any sense. The 2 waiters who were present, they lacked the basics of serving. With only 4-5 tables occupied, waiting for upto 5 mins to get water after acknowledgement is totally...
