Honest Review Here!!! If u plan on taking a trip with family or for business don't pick Holiday Inn Tampa North for your stay. My family and I stayed about 2 weeks back and honestly was not pleased. the rooms are not thoroughly cleaned, under the pull out couch there was so much trash as well as all counters were not cleaned. I did wipe everything down myself with Lysol. The bathroom was decent but not as clean as it should of been. We stayed in room 220 and I'm not sure if the other rooms near by have the same issue but you can here every single time someone uses the elevator ALL NIGHT LONG!! None of the TV'S in our room had cable and tv was a distorted picture. The pool was ok, the staff was horrible... I asked a man at the front desk about the times they serve lunch/dinner and he was on his phone listening on airpods and took the airpod out his ear and said WHAT!! when I asked about the times they serve Lunch/Dinner he said not right now.. Now the website does state the times but however they are not accurate.. Now the food.. ABSOLUTLY HORRIBLE!!!! breakfast is as pictured but way over priced... lunch/dinner is nothing as they picture we spent over $150.00 for breakfast and dinner and ended up throwing it all away. The chicken was not cooked it looked more boiled and not appealing at all the fries were not cooked.. raw and cold. the Pizza was cold and super doughy. None of the staff ever asked if we needed anything a manager was never available. The so called Restaurant was obviously short staffed I believe they had 1 person take the orders which was about a 30 minute wait.. for what I have no idea because the food was not cooked.. The lady taking the would say there out of this and that because an employee took this and that without permission. Now house keeping did come by 1 time and give fresh towels the first morning we stayed, after that never saw house keeping and we stayed for 3 nights. For paying over $1000 for our stay including breakfast, lunch/dinner ended up turning into to several hundred more because we had to doordash food. I have been waiting on a phone call from management for about 2 weeks now and I'm still waiting.. which makes sense there wasn't a manager available while we were there or to reach out. My review may not do much but I hope people see this a choose another hotel near by because Holiday Inn Tampa North was an absolute disappointment. Side Note: This was my families first time to Tampa to go to...
Read moreI NEVER THOUGHT I WILL SEE A DAY LIKE THIS IN MY LIFE. AFTER CHECKING IN WITH MY WIFE AT ABOUT 4PM, WE GET TO THE ROOM AND NOTICE THE BEDSHEET WAS ALL TWISTED AND LOOKED LIKE IT HAD NOT BEEN CHANGED AT ALL. WE NOTIFIED THE RECEPTIONIST, AYME, WHO PROMISED TO GET IT FIXED. WE LEFT FOR TOWN AND RETURNED AT 2AM AND THE SHEET HAD NOT BEEN CHANGED. WE CALLED THE RECEPTIONIST, MICHAEL FOR 15 MINS, NO ANSWER. I WENT DOWN STAIRS TO EXPLAIN AND HE HANDS ME OVER A SHEET AND DECLARES "IF YOU'RE WATING FOR ME TO CHANGE IT, IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN". I ASKED HIM WHY IT WASN'T ADDRESSED, AND LET HIM KNOW THE LEAST HE COULD DO IS SAY HE'S SORRY. I ASKED FOR HIS NAME AND HIS SUPERVISOR'S NAME AND HE IMMEDIATELY SAID "GET OUT OF MY HOTEL, YOU HAVE 10 MINUTES, GET OUT" I WAS SPEECHLESS, AND LOST, BUT FEARING FOR MY LIFE AT THAT POINT, I WENT BACK TO MY ROOM AND CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE, SPOKE TO REGINA AND FILED A GRIEVANCE - CASE # 10555256093. SHE GIVES ME THE RECEPTIONIST'S NAME AS MICHAEL. I TOLD HER I HAD BEEN ASKED TO LEAVE IN 10 MINUTES, AND SHE TELLS ME MICHAEL WILL GET BACK TO ABOUT THAT. 15 MINUTES LATER MICHAEL CALLED 911 AND TWO OFFICERS TAMPA POLICE DEPARTMENT SHOWED UP AND KICKED US OUT OF THE PROPERTY AT 2:21AM TO THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE. I ASKED FOR A RECEIPT AND MICHAEL STATED "YOU MOST DEFINITELY WON'T BE CHARGED". HE PROCEEDS TO GIVE US A SIGNED NOTE STATING HE KICKED US OUT. WE WERE THEN ESCORTED OUT BY THE POLICE. WE DROVE OUT OF THE PROPERTY AND HAD TO SLEEP IN THE USF PARKING LOT ACROSS THE STREET FOR THE REST OF THE NIGHT. THIS IS EASILY THE WORST INTERACTION I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. NO ONE SHOULD EXPERIENCE THE FEAR I FELT THAT NIGHT AND NO ONE SHOULD TREATED THIS WAY. NO. NOT IN TAMPA WHERE I LIVED FOR 6 YEARS, NOT IN AMERICA, NOT ANYWHERE. THIS...
Read moreThe hotel seems to have been recently remodeled and was really nice. You enter the lobby and there is the check in on your left and a bar on your right. We stayed on a Thursday and there didn't seem to be that many people here. Only two at the bar. Parking was fine and we were able to find a spot close to the rear entrance. Once we entered we were greeted and promptly checked in. The attendant was very nice and helpful. She even went to the bar and got us a nice hot coffee. Once we go to the room we got settled in. It was your typical hotel room but with updated décor and bedding. The mattress was on the stiffer side but the pillows were perfect. Since it was slightly cool outside (in the 50's at night), we turned the heat on. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was huge. All in all it was a nice updated room. The downside was the noise. All night long you can hear the traffic outside from the main road. it was loud and went on all through the night. Also, since we ran the heat, there was a huge puddle of water at the foot of the bed. I guess condensation built up and it just flows onto the floor. I used a few towels and cleaned it up before we checked out. When I informed the front desk about it she said something to the affect that "This happens when you have the temperature too low". Ok... So we just said our goodbyes and headed out. If you stay here, request a room that faces the rear parking area. You might...
