La Quinta Management,
I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the conditions and service during my recent stay at your hotel on E Fowler Ave in Tampa, FL. Over the past two weeks, I have experienced numerous issues that have made my stay both unpleasant and stressful.
To begin, the overall cleanliness of the hotel and rooms is far below acceptable standards. I encountered dirty rooms, blood-stained bedding, unclean pillows, wet floors and walls, and electrical issues that were never addressed. Worst of all, I have been bitten by bugs throughout my stay. Despite these problems, no efforts were made to improve the conditions.
Adding to this frustration, I received no housekeeping service for over two weeks, despite several requests. When I first inquired with the front desk, Rachel claimed that housekeeping was simply scheduled in a "weird way" but assured me that someone would come to clean the room. This never happened. When I followed up a week later, James at the front desk provided conflicting and false information, claiming that all housekeeping services had been suspended due to hurricanes Milton and Helene. This explanation was nonsensical, especially considering my colleague staying at the same hotel had his room serviced five times during the same period.
On the night of 10/12, I confronted James about the lies and misinformation he had provided, and when he saw that I had others with me who had received housekeeping, he became defensive and upset. Instead of taking responsibility for the poor communication and false information, he reacted inappropriately. To make matters worse, that same night, he denied me access to my room and asked me to leave the hotel. This is completely unacceptable behavior from a front desk representative.
The proper way to handle this situation would have been for James to apologize for the conflicting information provided by himself and Rachel, and to have been honest from the start. If he didnât know the answer, he should have consulted his manager to figure out why I had not received housekeeping for over two weeks. I would have appreciated a straightforward response much more than the excuses and dishonesty I was subjected to.
My experience at this hotel has been overwhelmingly negative. The conditions are unsanitary, the service is non-existent, and the staff has shown a total lack of professionalism. If it werenât for my employer booking this trip, I would have left the hotel immediately.
For anyone considering staying at La Quinta on E Fowler Ave, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Hotels like the Holiday Inn and Home2Suites nearby offer a much cleaner and more professional experience. I will be attaching photos as evidence of the poor conditions we endured...
Read moreThis hotel has some major issues and perspective guests should beware. First of all, all the photos are super staged to capture the one decent looking corner of the room completely leaving out the dirty carpets and windows, the torn upholstery and curtains, the dirty surfaces everywhere, the groudy shower with the shower curtain falling off, cabinet hardware that is rusted out with paint on it, being October - the live spiders crawling along the walls was a nice touch and the tiny television with half a burnt out screen is nice so long as you don't need to see anything in the top half. They have a policy about no check ins after midnight - like a curfew - but it seems they mean let them know if you will be arriving late. The two times we needed staff's help, there was no one to be found. Add to this a musty, ashtray smell that hits you like a freight train when you enter the room and never leaves. The final straw was the disappointing continental breakfast with Fox News - yes the network that just admitted in open court to lying, being untruthful and otherwise being propagandist and accomplices in the undermining of our democracy - blaring on the TVs. It was enough to send me packing, literally. Its only saving grace is it's proximity to Busch Gardens, but there are plenty of other hotels just as close - I recommend you choose one of them. This hotel will never see us again and has done irevicable damage to the La Quinta brand in our minds and we'd gladly spend more money to stay elsewhere or stay in our car if we have to rather than patronize another La...

This hotels current pictures before booking ,are misleading and deceiving to the core. For one night, to spend over $200 dollars, my family was robbed and cheated. We will not get sleep tonight. How dare this hotelâs marketing and management team even deceive customers like this , shows the level of customer service and hospitality. I would rather me and my family sleep in our car or travel back the 3 1/2 hours home then this filthy place. To have been out all day celebrating my daughters birthday and to end the day with a place like this breaks my heart. How dare this place takes advantage of customers like this. I would make it my business that make sure customers are aware of this place. From the carpet, holes in the walls, nights stand lights near falling off the wall, rust , stain on the walls and carpet , dirty bathroom, spotted and filthy pull out couch, cold water in the entire building to take a shower etc the list goes on. On this night their was many complaints from customers even some packing their bags and leaving. âPictures speak a thousand words â. The pictures post came from our so called ,âSuiteâ. You be the judge of that. This place is old and outdated and needs to be torn down to the ground!!!! DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARN MONEY ON A PLACE...
