This place was FILTHY!!! The hard surfaces of the floors were sticky and stuck to the bottom of your shoes. The carpets were stained and dirty. The furniture was dirty to the point that I had to cover it so as not to put my luggage and other items on it. They don't change the bedding unless you request it. The sink was plugged the first night. We had two rooms. One of them was not cleaned or serviced, at all, the first two nights that we were there. We were going to check out, but was told the one room would be fully comped, having a zero balance. The night before we checked out, we checked at the desk and was told that room had a zero balance. But, the next morning at check out the room had a balance owing. When we stopped at the desk to inquire, an elderly woman who stated she was the manager (when we asked for one), was told the concern. She went in the back and came back with another woman who stated she was the manager. This woman was argumentative and stated she would not honor the prior arrangement. She stated she cleaned the room herself one of the days in question. If she did, she did not do a good job!!! The bed was not made, towels were not replaced. The bathroom was not cleaned, etc. She made excuses for when and why things may not have been done. None of the things she said occurred. We don't believe either of these individuals were managers. They both need to be retrained in customer service and interpersonal skills. We will never stay in this...
Read moreHAMPTON INN is our FAVORITE place to stay...but most of the time their rates are higher than I like to pay...especially for a one night stay. BUT... THIS one is VERY reasonable and looks like a new facility. The young lady named Kristen at the front desk was probably the sweetest clerk I've ever dealt with in a hotel It seemed she couldn't do enough for us. SHE needs to be training ALL hotel clerks on how to treat customers! The king bed in our suite was AWESOME and I LOVE their pillows!! Plus fee breakfast and wifi...! We'll make thie halfway place to stay on all of our Texas/Tennessee trips! I had to edit because I left my review before going to breakfast. Out of all of the Hampton Inn I've been to ..it was the worst. The food was NOT visually appealing...it looked like it's been out for a while. ..the utensils and counters needed to be wiped down..but I could hear the staff in the room behind the counter...laughing and talking...complaining about the crew before them. The whole 15 minutes we were there...NOT one staff member surfaced to check on the food our clients. Also..the housekeeping was down the hall laughing LOUDLY...very odd in such a nice hotel chain. I noticed someone sweeping the lobby and was shocked to see that it was Kristen!! SHE had checked us in at 7pm or so the night BEFORE and had to work over...but STILL smiling and...
Read moreBeware and cautious due to lack of COVID safety protocols. When we checked in, we felt very safe as the attendant was wearing a mask shield and had labeled clean pens, there were no other guests around, and our room appeared to be well cleaned too. However, when we went to checkout and exit the hotel, it was a different story. There were people all over the place in the lobby with most not wearing masks at all. The people at the front desk were not wearing masks properly (exposing their noses), there was an event taking place for a large group in the conference room next to the lobby and many in and out not wearing masks or wearing them properly. Zero social distancing taking place. There was about ~15-20 guests in the lobby and breakfast area also not wearing masks or social distancing. I did not feel safe while leaving that hotel in the morning and it definitely made me second guess staying there. I was really disappointed as I thought a national brand like Hilton would be upholding strong COVID safety protocols and that’s why we chose to stay there but the staff did not show any care or concern towards this during the morning of...
