Small room with two queen beds. Small refrigerator. A desk with one chair. K-cup coffee maker with several k-cups provided. Good size bathroom with a tub and shower. Good name brand soap and conditioner. The shower head was pretty high up - great for taller people, and had good water flow. Good ventilation fans in the bathroom. Small closet with 3 hangars One small mirror in the room behind the desk. A small TV. Old iron and board. One - 3 deep drawer dresser. Several electrical sockets. The lamps on the desk and between the beds had electrical sockets that were all loose and ineffective. Small indoor pool and hot tub. Nice area. Guest laundry room with one washer and one dryer. They are good name brand appliances, however I did not use them so I can't comment on how well they work. Business center with two computers. Small lobby lounge with a comfy couch and a good size tv. This hotel is in need of some upgrades, improvements, and some tlc. There are chipped bathroom tiles, dings in walls, and dirty carpets that need to be steam cleaned. The porcelin sink in my bathroom had a large crack in it. The elevators did work really well and were pretty quick. The entry door from the back parking lot had a lock that doesn't work well at all. We seldom were able to get our keys to work. Luckily, the pool door was always propped open so we cut through that area a lot. In spite of those small issues I would definitely stay here again simply because of how absolutely friendly and accomodating the staff is. The front desk employees were all very nice. Each one of them I spoke with at different times during our three night stay were exceptionally friendly and professional. I didn't get everyone's name I spoke with, but when we checked in Makiya and Kirsti were super friendly and helpful. I had my elderly mother with me. Makiya was especially patient and sweet with her as Mom asked questions then needed her to repeat answers because of hard hearing. We were here for a family funeral and Makiya made sure we got the bereavement rate for our rooms. Thank you, Makiya! The housekeeping ladies were terrific and friendly. The lady who was tending to the breakfast area each morning was super nice and accommodating - helping each customer start their day off with a pleasant and satisfying experience. I can't say enough about how impressed I am with their staff. BRAVO!!! Terrific service! Lots of nearby restaurants and a decent looking water park across the street too! Downtown Texarkana has our nation's only federal building that sits in two states - Arkansas and Texas.

We stayed at this hotel over the weekend, and unfortunately our experience was extremely disappointing. The front desk lady was very kind and helpful, but that was the only positive. From the start, the elevator made strange noises, and once we got to the 4th floor (room 412), things went downhill. The hallway carpets were horrendous — they smelled awful and were covered in stains. Our room door looked like it had been tampered with, and although it shut, there was a huge gap around it. The top safety lock was loose with screws barely hanging on, which made us feel unsafe. Inside, the bed was stiff as a board, the lighting was terrible, and most of the TV channels displayed “access denied.” The bathroom water pressure was so low I could barely wash my hands. The side/back entrance was unsafe — the key card reader was detached from the door and didn’t even work, meaning anyone could walk in without a key. Even from inside, the door stuck so badly you had to shove it open. The pool area was no better. Our key card didn’t work, so the front desk had to come let us in. She admitted none of the guests’ keys worked and had to forcefully hit the door just to get it open. Once inside, the door slammed so hard it startled everyone. The chlorine level was overwhelming — the water was cloudy and metallic-looking. The “hot tub” was lukewarm at best. We only stayed because we had already booked and didn’t want to risk being charged if we left, but this place does not meet even basic standards of comfort, safety, or cleanliness. Serious maintenance and safety updates are needed before I could recommend it to anyone.

The first room we were given hadn't been touched since the last guest. The second room was clean enough, though we had to ask for bedding for the pull out couch (the bag in the closet where they normally are was empty), additional towels (room could sleep six, there were 2 towels) and no towels at the pool. The cable wasn't HD so it really took you back to your younger years. The breakfast was so bad that we went to McDonald's after checking out: juice machine was broken (juice boxes in a mini fridge), waffle machine wasn't available (there was space for it), the biscuits must've been reheated for multiple days given they were hard as a rock and the cereal options were special k and raisin bran. The staff was clearly frustrated. Front desk folks were kind but weren't able to fully address most issues (I genuinely felt bad for them). The housekeeping staff wasn't friendly, but I couldn't blame them, given the circumstances. The front desk couldn't offer any kind of refund, voucher, etc. other than an apology (again, it isn't their fault and I didn't push the issue, though another guest was very irate while checking out). I was very glad we were only booked for one night, so we just dealt with it. The owners + management team should be ashamed of the conditions guests are subjected to given how the hotel is advertised. Pictures of first room added to review.

A complete nightmare! I came into town for a family event. I was given a room that had not been cleaned to start with. My family and I carried all of our luggage up to only have to come back down the stairs bc the room had only been pulled….no bedding and not cleaned. I was booked on the 4th floor AGAIN without use of the elevator going down. You can only go up due to the button being broken on 4th floor. My mother has bad knees. I was not called and made aware of this before arriving and I worked for a hotel for 3 years. We would never treat our guests like this. We would have made a courtesy call. We would have also changed the guests with an elderly person in the party to another room with use of the elevator working both ways. It’s merely a click of the keyboard to change the room number and we would have assigned someone only staying overnight onto the 4th floor versus the entire weekend. Pure laziness and greed! However I am reassured after arriving and letting the front desk know that she has bad knees, is 66 and cannot use stairs daily during our trip, to just call down because someone is at the front desk around the clock and they can send the elevator up to us. Here we all are and did not want to go through the trouble of finding another hotel. I drove 8 hours that day to get into town. We stayed the weekend and the desk didn’t answer one time. NOT ONE TIME! The breakfast attendant was extremely rude. I asked where the plates were and she pointed to them with a look on her face like it was ridiculous for me to ask. The breakfast was nice though. The food only. The housekeeping manager, tall slender lady with a real pretty smile, was the only good thing about our stay. The first morning we had no towels because the laundry lady called in and they could not replenish but she was eager to help and found us what she could. This was a trip from hell. I do not recommend ever staying here! The water pressure in our room was a drip. To top it all off this was Fathers Day weekend and I have yet to see my $25.00 deposit. Now normally I wouldn’t care about 25.00 but after staying what felt like at a low budget hotel on Stateline I want my money. I called today and was told my bank must have not released the funds so the front desk clerk said she would send me the portfolio that gave this proof of them releasing my deposit. The paper was blank. No amount of deposit, no amount charged for the room, nothing but my name and the stay dates and room number. I called back but ofcourse I was sent to a voicemail box that was full. If you need to stop in by yourself and only simply sleep then I say go ahead but if you need to shower or are traveling leisurely for the love of God go to another hotel. I could have stayed for $50.00 at the crack hotels on Stateline for the same treatment I received at this Holiday Inn and saved 80.00 per night. And Kristi, no disrespect ma’am but save your time and breath on that generic apology you write back and just send...

Stains, stains, stains! Everywhere there are stains. On the floors in the hallways on 1st and 4th floors, on the walls in the room, and on the beds. This was just an overnight stop for us on a week long thanksgiving road trip. We paid $140 to stay here for 8 hours, so I would at least expect we get the room we paid for and a comfy night sleep in a clean room. The hotel called on our way to it and said card on file was not going through, so I gave them new card info and confirmed we were on the way, but we’re still hours away. We got there around 10:30 pm and were exhausted. The lady at front desk happily tells us they upgraded our room to a double bed..then she said oh no that’s what you originally booked…then proceeds happily to say they upgraded us to a king room. She must have recognized the concern on my face and says it still sleeps 4. I asked if that is with a sofa bed cuz we don’t want that. She then apologized and said it does, but they don’t have any rooms with double beds any longer. Mind you I made this reservation about 6 months ago..she called their sister hotel to see if they had any double bed rooms available and they did not. I told her it was fine we will get through tonight. She did grab us extra blankets and pillows for the sofa bed to make it more comfortable. We then got all our stuff and went upstairs and started getting settled. That’s when we saw all the stains and also a bandaid on the floor. Neither bed was very comfortable. My husband and I went out to the car once more and front desk lady tells us she found that they do in fact have one available room with double beds and asked us if we wanted to change rooms. We already got settled and we’re ready for bed so I declined. She was nice and while I appreciate her efforts, it really should have never happened. We left around 6:30 am and while it was not quite breakfast time some of the food was already prepared. My husband attempted to grab a little eggs and sausage that he saw ready, but breakfast lady would not let him have any. He couldn’t even grab a glass of orange or apple juice cuz she said the machine hadn’t been filled. He isn’t much of a coffee drinker but he grabbed a small glass. He said it wasn’t good, like the vanilla creamer may be expired. I didn’t have any of that so I can’t speak for myself on that. All in all I was disappointed in the value...
