PLEASE! DO NOT STAY HERE!
I NEVER write reviews, but this Delta property is so bad. RUN AWAY! It’s really sad too because they did a recent renovation, and overall it looks nice on a surface level, seems a ton of money was spent to refurb this place, Could be a great spot, but corners have been cut in the end and management does not care when guests have bad experiences, so why would staff? I have been promised multiple times they will reach out and make it right, offered points bc of my issues, and I literally never got any points and never heard from the GM ANY OF THE TIMES!
I have stayed here probably at least 6/7 times as I travel to Toledo for work often. Every single time it’s gotten worse! It seems staff has been cut and I don’t necessarily blame them bc this is a general manager and up issue.
Pool is way too cold to use, leaks, dark rusty and nasty. Kids will hate it.
AC has not worked multiple times.
Elevator-50/50 chance it is even working. Have fun walking up 5 or 6 flights with your luggage!
They have priced this property low to attract new business-and it’s temping-but the crowd this discount pricing bring in is not desirable. Loud parties. People asking me for rides places. Weed smoke everywhere. People staring you down just walking down the hall. I am titanium, so I get use of the pantry, I’ve had people wait til I go in and try and sneak in with me before door closes. I literally have had to grab the handle and force close it as they were trying to open from other side tug of waring the door! IT’S BAD!
Rooms look nice at first glance, but be prepared for showers that don’t drain and you will have stuff coming up out the drain into the tub and water inches up your leg. Dirt/dust everywhere in room. I literally bring hand sanitizer when staying here and clean the surfaces myself, the white wash clothes are black by the time I’m done. Wifi is non- existent! Literally my last 3 stays the tv did not work, how is this even possible? they sent multiple people in the first night, claim it works, it doesn’t. Leaving the next day for work I tell front desk, they promise it’ll be fixed when I get back after work. then I get back and ITS STILL NOT WORKING. I go to front desk-they say “maintained said it’s fixed” I say it’s not I just tried, this happened yesterday too. They send someone else in, AGAIN, for like the 4th time and they can’t fix it. Then I’m told there is just nothing else they can do. My next trip there entirely different stay, literally had the exact same issues, felt like the twilight zone! WiFi don’t work, tv glitches, channels work turn, people come on multiple days to try and fix, they say it’s fixed, ITS NOT! Send someone else, can’t fix it, nothing else they can do. The worse part- I asked before checking in, explained I had horrible issues with tv last few times, are they fixed bc I can’t stay here if not. Front desk “yes it works!” AND IT DOESN’T. How?? The staff must know me bc of these issues, and almost roll their eyes when I walk down to front desk? What?! BC I WANT SIMPLE THINGS TO WORK THAT I WAS TOLD DID WORK? On my departure, I was PROMISED THEY WOULD make this right bc of so many issues multiple stays in a row, the GM IS AWARE AND WILL BE CALLING YOU AND WE ALSO WILL BE AWARDING YOU “TONS” OF POINTS FOR ALL THE ISSUES…..ITS NOW BEEN 2 weeks AGAIN, and NO-ONE CONTACTS ME. I’ve been told so many times they will make this right manager/GM will be calling. Never happenes. They don’t care. And it shows, in so many ways.
If I were the owners of this property, I would be appalled at how this place runs day to day, especially after the money spent to make this place updated. IT IS TRASH, Lipstick on a pig!
PLEASE, don’t stay here. YOU WILL REGRET it! Maybe not right away. BUT YOU WILL!
Management/GM/cooperate-at a minimum, do what you say you will do and make this right. Then, I’ll consider taking my review down. I’m sick of being lied to, SO MANY TIMES. I know things happen, and I get that, but this is on a whole different level. You...
Read moreI love this hotel. You can tell it's a great space for conferences and events and that its designed around that, but they didn't compromise on the regular guest rooms too. 2) I've stayed several times now and the staff are always extremely friendly- every single person! 3) Impeccably clean rooms, hallways, and lobby. --- A few criticisms that aren't dealbreakers, but good to be aware of: As it's right by a hospital and I know a lot of people are visiting or having appointments while there, I will point out that if you have problems walking long distances, the parking lot is spaced kind of weird so it's a long walk. There's also a long hallway before you get to the elevators with the guest rooms. And the hallways on the guests floors are very long. Not a problem for most of us but I do think it's something I'd want to know if I had someone with me who is aging, using a cane or not feeling well. Because its way more than the typical hotel to elevator walk. And if I could bring up anything else to complain about it would be the lack of microwaves. It would be great to have a way to reheat your food after having leftovers. I completely understand if they don't want to have one in every room like other marriots, but there's a gorgeous little pantry-like store (only accessible with a room key) on the first floor where you can get beverages and snacks, even fruit. It would be a fantastic place to add a few microwaves there!! They also could add them by the water machines on each floor (though that would be harder to monitor than the pantry.) They could even do something like charge $5 a night to put one in a guest room. Whatever works. But there's no reason a hotel like that shouldn't have one, especially in a city like Toledo where there isn't as much to do besides go out to lunch/dinner, so you'll want to reheat your food. Overall, I think everyone who stays there will have a fantastic experience. I always do and I can be a bit particular when it...
Read moreBy far the worst experience in any Bonvoy property.
The initial check in process was smooth, however I arrived to my room and the door was ajar and the light didn’t work. When I went downstairs to request a different room I was made to feel heard at first and then to be a joking matter.
The morning came and instead of being able to rest, I heard doors slamming across the hall time and time again from housekeeping. Fast forward an hour or so, someone knocks on my door (do not disturb sign hanging) and states that I requested service but she wasn’t sure what. What’s the point of the sign? And why would you knock on someone’s door without knowing what the request is?
When I went downstairs to get coffee, the coffee station was closed and instead of the front desk person coming to assist me at the desk, she remained seated in an office nearby cutting up her meal and eating. She did let me know that the restaurant had coffee for sale if I was interested though…
A late check out (2pm) was requested at check in; but wouldn’t you know, the phone rang in the room at 12:07 and the lady basically wanted to know why I was still here but she’d “heard” I’d requested an extension. Which I assume was the housekeeper that knocked on my door with the phony request rather than the person who checked me in.
This has literally been the most inconvenient stay I’ve ever had and will think twice before booking a Delta...
