My experience with my son being here has been one of the most disappointing/disheartening experiences I’ve ever experienced, the nurse taking care of my child with the exception of one male and one female nurse in the ICU , has shown me the inhumanity in nurses , a profession that I’ve been working in for over 27 years . The so called nurse that took care of my child this evening was the most uncaring unprofessional person I’ve ever seen. The lack of respect shown was beyond heartbreaking/frustrating experience thus far. The sheer lack of compassion, empathy, humanity that she displayed is beyond my comprehension/understanding ,in my opinion she’s one of the most unprofessional human being that I’ve come across . I asked her for her name and the spelling. After asking a question about my child labs , due to the response from her . I asked her name (she said to looking in his chart Her response was with laughter and a idgf attitude like yeah my name is xyz , they ain’t gonna do **, )I then became frustrated and let her know no I’m going to report you to the Board of Nursing not UT cause it’s obvious by your response that there will be no repercussions for your actions at UT ,her coworker another unprofessional so called Nurse came in the and stated I mean with no introduction as to who she is ,said so what’s the problem my response to her was,who are you what’s you’re name who are she stated I don’t have anything to do with what’s going on. I asking her name again she never said ( it’s probably Jenny from the block) as I was trying to come to a resolution regarding her friend behavior the first hood nurse was like I’m not the doctor they come at this time I getting off anyway. After recognizing that these are some of the nurses they hired during covid to have staff I immediately stopped all conversation… please have some requirements for your staff. Her and her friends actions show that they know that she was wrong/ unacceptable … I feel they need to be informed on their responsibilities as a nurse they need to understand that they are not doctors and stating it’s okay isn’t a acceptable response ,when the patient or their representative is concerned about the care to ease the patient anxiety regarding their health it’s their responsibility to provide them with the information that they need . ( not say it’s okay??) They are not doctors, you follow the doctor orders you don’t make decisions you follow them . Nevertheless just based off your interactions from the jump in my opinion I don’t trust your opinion/ judgment. I need to know the numbers so that I can come to that conclusion, based on the Therapeutic range in African America male. Please play...
Read moreA horrible place. They let my friend die. And didn't even try to save her. They waited til treatment would be useless. And lied about it. They knew what they were doing, and did not care. The doctors and nurses were full of apathy. The only thing they did fast was lock me out of MY CHART 20min after my friend died. Not one of her cancer doctors tried to save her. I hope and pray they all share the same sentence they...
