On a trip into New England, we found Hatch House at the last minute, and it was so amazing that we altered our return trip in order to stay here again! Melissa & Roger were both super friendly, and Melissa cooked a full, delicious breakfast in the morning - on our timetable, no less - and from scratch! The chair in the front room is amazingly comfortable, and I almost fell asleep in it. I felt like I was visiting relatives instead of staying in a strange place. Hatch House is obviously set up for parties, and if you get the chance to visit, even just for a meal, you should take it.
We stayed in the Bradford Room both times. The bed was very comfy, the closet was adorable, the bathroom was clean, and the water was hot! We actually wanted to put off our journey for another night, but we just couldn't.
However, I've saved Hatch House on my map, and anytime we need to drive into New England, we'll be staying here!
(Please pardon the photos being all out of order. I took them over both visits because the weather was nice once but not twice, and the light was good once, but not twice. Plus I had very little energy the first trip after...
Read moreI cannot not say enough about our fabulous stay this week! My mom and I came to Towanda to spend some time with family and I did not want to be in a hotel so we booked Hatch House. Michelle and Roger go above and beyond when it comes to hospitality. The day before our trip I ended up with a broken foot and a walking boot. They were extremely accommodating and Michelle even provided a soothing ice pack when I needed to rest the foot:) The house itself is stunning. Michelle and Roger pay attention to every little detail and the love for their home and guests is evident. Each room is impeccably decorated . Our room was perfect for mom and I and the new bathrooms are lovely. Despite some rain, we were able to enjoy the beautiful outdoor spaces as well, including the pool. Thank you again Michelle and Roger! I can’t wait to come back and see you guys (and Mabel!) in a...
Read moreWe absolutely love visiting Michelle and Roger at the Hatch House Bed and Breakfast. We always feel very welcomed, and right at home. We recently stayed for almost a week, and got to enjoy the heated pool with our kids. It was especially wonderful after a long uphill hike at nearby Rickett’s Glen State Park. The home has been updated, and boasts so much historic charm. The beds are comfortable and clean. We woke up to a great breakfast spread provided every morning. If you have good weather during your visit, make sure to take that last cup of coffee to the sitting area on the front porch and catch a glimpse of the river while you soak up some sunshine. It’s pretty heavily. Thanks for having us Michelle and Roger -...
