This gorgeous Victorian home felt like stepping magically back to an earlier time. Staying on the third floor meant being able to wind through the whole house on the way to our room. The furnishings are period, with claw foot chairs and a grand piano.
The keepers of the place were EXTRAORDINARILY kind and helpful. They pulled out an extension cord so we could charge our vehicle. And when we left our car’s window open that night, and they couldn’t get a hold of us over our phones, they covered the window with a blanket and garbage bag to keep out the rain.
There’s a self-serve continental breakfast on offer, with coffee pods. If you’re fussy like me and don’t like drinking out of styrofoam, bring your own cup. All the breakfast foods are high-sugar (white breads, FunFunSugar cereal mini boxes, fruity yogurt cups, etc) so just a thing to keep in mind if you’re sensitive to that.
I would absolutely come back to Towanda just to stay in this gorgeous house and to play the piano and imagine drinking gin martinis with...
Read moreAlthough I am not a fan of Bed & Breakfast Inns, I took a chance on this one because all the decent hotel/motels in the area were booked solid and it has a 5 star rating with only one room left. I took it. Pulling into the driveway after riding all day on my Harley I didn't know what to expect or what kind of greeting i would receive. What a pleasant surprise when Jack met me in front hall. We chatted, Nice young guy. He took me on a tour and showed me my room. It's like stepping back in time to the 1800s. The house is filled with antique furnishings and beautiful woodwork. Room was small but clean & came with its own private bath. Bed was comfortable, all was quiet . Met Mindy his lovely wife in the morning. what a cutie! She served me a very good home cooked breakfast. We chatted about the house and some of the antique lighting. I packed up my gear and was off on the road again. Would I go back to the Victorian Charm Inn AGAIN? ABSOLUTELY ! Already...

This Victorian (built in the late 1800s) house still preserves it's turn of the century architecture and interiors. If you remember your grandparents' massive old Reconstruction era house in Sleepy, USA, you'll start to feel nostalgic when you approach the front porch and likely won't stop until you leave.
High ceilings and lots of glass abound, this three level home is a beauty to behold. The wood work inside is fetching, and the owners have done an excellent job subdividing rooms for guests. The furniture tries to stay relatively contemporary to the house, and completes the time capsule feel. A microwave, mini fridge, and bathroom were all available. Roughly a quarter mile outside of downtown, it's situated within easy reach to several local eateries and taverns.
It may not be corporate cheap, but it also has far more character. Do yourself a favor and spend a night or three, you...
