I stayed at the wooden boat motel several time in the last 3 years, but I won't be staying there any more. Each time I stayed it was 5 or 6 nights. The rooms are nice enough for the price, but the bath room and shower stall are very small. I made a reservation in January for a week in June and payed 197.14 deposit. In June I had to cancel a week before my arrival time. According to the cancellation policy that accompanied the reservation confirmation email, If I cancelled less than 30 days before my arrival date I would lose the deposit. I was fine with that because it was less than 30 days. However, Berni charged a second deposit of 197.14 so now I am out $394.28 and Berni's answer was that he could charge me for the entire week but he said he could rent it on Friday so he was ONLY charging me the $394.28. I sent all the email correspondence emails to my credit card company and after a review they took The second $197.14 back from the motel and gave me a credit on my bill. Sooooooooooooo if you make a reservation be careful and get the cancellation policy in print first, because some time thing change after you pay your deposit. THIS IS A FOLLOWUP

As someone named David, stepping into a full-blown replica of Moira Roseâs bedroom felt⌠spiritual. Transcendent. A rebirth, if you will. The wig wall alone deserves its own five stars. I stood before it, contemplating which alter ego Iâd like to channel. A Little Bit Alexis? Or perhaps Moiraâs âDisenchanted Forestâ collection? Decisions were made. Photos were taken. Zero regrets.
The room? Just the right amount of chaotic glamour that whispers, âIs it tacky or is it couture?â The answer: YES! I strutted around like I owned the place, adjusting imaginary shoulder pads, practicing my Moira accent, and occasionally scolding myself with a dramatic âEw, Davidâ just to stay grounded.
The staff? Delightful. They fully understood the assignment encouraging the nonsense and pretending this level of unhinged joy was totally normal.
If youâre a Schittâs Creek fan, cancel your plans. Sell a kidney if you must. Book this room. Live your truth. Because for one glorious night, I wasnât just David, I was DAVID and I love...
