We came to koffee korner on great recommendations through my family members who have gone to you for years. We did see that it was busy and looked a bit understaffed. We waited about 20 min to get someone to finally ask for our drink order. We didn't understand why everyone who was seated after us all had drinks already and some were already eating??? After we put in are order for are drinks and food we were still waiting another 10 minutes while EVERYONE after us already had food and we still haven't recieved are drinks.. we decided it was time to leave. I had two small children thirsty and hungry and we were completely ignored and decided it was time to go. As we left the establishment the waitress ran out screaming at us and acting like we 86ed the joint and rudely screamed in front of everyone outside if we were going to pay for are food?? What food? We never even received are drinks? She told us we were RUDE! My family who raved about you guys can't believe we were treated with so much disrespect. No one from my family will be coming to your restaurant anymore. You have lost a ton of loyal customers who have been great fans of your restaurant and they won't be coming back because of your staff. I wish we could of had a chance to try your coffee and food but I dunno if we can handle the wait and rude staff. You need to have a long talk with the lady with the brown wavy chin length hair, late 30's-40's morning shift at...
Read moreWe went to this place under the recommendation of our Airbnb host. It was a crowded Saturday morning but we got seats right away. The food was decent and came in big portions, the prices were inexpensive too. However, the food took 20 minutes or so to arrive, and I think there needs some room for improvements. Most restaurants of this caliber would have a dedicated person to bring out the food once it is cooked, rather than solely depended on the one server who serves that table to bring it out. I saw our server running to several locations to get the drinks, then to calculate manually the cheques, then to make sure she refill your coffee, then to the kitchen to check on the food, then to take orders, then to clean tables for new customers, etc. It's alright if she only serves a few tables, but I counted she at least serves 6 to 7 tables, and some of these tables have 4+ people. Our food was only somewhat warm when arrived, and it was really a turn-off for a breakfast wake-me-up kind of place. To top it off, the coffee was NOT GOOD, so diluted. Really, what kind of breakfast place would...
Read moreThis place is a gem! Recommended by Steve at the West Winds motel, where we stayed. We stopped there our first evening in Clayton and went back 3 more times during our stay. Homey atmosphere, friendly service and excellent food. We had the reuben and was honestly the best reuben we've ever had. The couple behind us had the golden ale battered shrimp dinner, which looked so good we tried it the next time we went for dinner. Damn delicious, best we've had. For breakfast, my wife had the breakfast burrito that was stuffed with eggs, cheese, ham, and peppers with salsa and sour cream on the side. Messy but delicious, finished it with a fork. Our last morning before we left, we had the bacon Benny with homefries. So good. My wife had been dying to try their homemade pie since we saw so many people ordering it. Not exactly what you have for breakfast, but my wife said, " It's pie o'clock somewhere ". We split a piece of mixed berry pie, all I can say is totally worth it 😋 Hats off to the chef and servers at the Kove. Hopefully we will be...
