The Clayton Opera House — Attraction in Town of Clayton

Fabulous venue to check out concerts on a pretty picturesque street and area. You'd be surprised about the talent and shows that come through Clayton, New York, but this Opera House caters to lots of different performers - community events, rock, folk, choirs, etc. The venue itself is intimate ~2K and accoustically EXCELLENT. There are 2 levels - main floor and small balcony. The facilities within the Opera House are kept very well. and the venue staff (which are majority volunteers) reall docare for this space - you can tell! There are plenty of restaurants and parking around and so when you make it here - it's an evening experience. Concert prices range between $25-$40, which is really reasonable. The box office is helpful, and the ticketing is directly through the venue. Checked out the TREWS here, and it was an amazing night! Would aboslutely go back to support the venue, spend time in town, and take in a show. Definitely make it a point to check...

As a long time supporter of the Clayton Opera House, I was recently disappointed for my inability to attend an event for which I had already purchased a ticket because I would have had to have parked further away from the forum than I a distance I could reasonably walk.. While one may opine that I could have arrived earlier, the fact is that the Opera House lacks parking adequate to the needs of its patrons. Moreover, it would appear that there is no practical solution to this inadequacy of parking space. I would propose therefore that someone, the board of the Opera House or some innovative entrepreneur, consider providing a simple shuttle service for events that would pick patrons up form and return them to the more distant parking sites surrounding the...

The venue is small enough that every seat is an okay seat. The balcony sides are vosionmibstructed no matter where you sit, so please be aware. The ticket buying system is weird. Had a party of two and we were seated separate on either side of an aisle. Not great or even good at all. Cash only concession but reasonably priced. If you attend, choose center seating.
