I waited to write this review as we approach the busy summer season. Last summer, we had the misfortune of staying at Cozy Cottages for a weekend. Wainscott, is a lovely part of the Hamptons. Sadly , Cozy and its grounds looks like it belongs in some deserted mountainous, rural area. Fit for wild animals to roam. The grounds are dirt, with occasional pebbles. The caretakers, two had very limited English. The owner , almost never present. |The screened porch was filled with spider webs. Some screens were torn. The cushions on the chairs were all filthy. Unable and certainly unwilling to sit down The room itself was quasi clean. However, there were some holes in the walls and was in dire need of a paint job. The tall chest to place clothing in had a giant hole. It was so discussing that I would not dare keep my clothing In there. Had we not have given a large deposit, we would never have checked in. Read moreIn need of a local one-week simple getaway, I came to the right place! Matthew the owner was very nice, generous, and helpful as he assigned me to a cottage I felt very at home in... so much that I hated to even leave. For just about the same cost of staying in a motel room, I enjoyed a "little house of my own" with a screened porch, nicely done inside with knotted real wood doors and window frames, soothing hot showers, and quiet nights for relaxing, reading, and of course, a good night's sleep... all in a great location not far from my favorite health food store in Sag Harbor to the north. More interesting shops in Bridgehampton to the west, and the ocean at Wainscott beach was just a bike ride away. This has been a truly healing week for me because this place had just what I needed, and I would definitely come here again. Thank you, cozy cottages for all...
Read moreWe stayed at The Cozy Cottages Easter weekend in a Studio Cottage. It truly was cozy. The cottage was clean and modern. The bedding seemed new, the mattress was great and most importantly the bathroom was nice and clean. Our cottage had flat screen hd cable tv, wifi and a kitchenette. Didn't cook, but the refrigerator and coffee maker came in handy. Location is perfect to get anywhere in the hamptons. Love East Hampton and Bridgehampton. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Best thing about the cottage is the privacy. Having a free standing cottage is so much better than staying in a typical connected hamptons motel room. I will return and highly recommend The Cozy Cottages...
