I had a full on attack when I saw the state of this room. It was filthy. The carpet was frayed, threadbare in spots, stained and sticky. I didn’t want my bare feet touching it. The sink, which is lavatory style in the open, was disgusting. I found three long black hairs on and around the sink (neither my husband nor I have black hair). One was stuck under the single lever faucet and wouldn’t budge. The drain plug cap was missing so you could see straight down the grimy drain, too. The sink was stained. The hardware was smudged and watermarked.||The bathtub/shower combo was terrible. It was covered in ground-in dirt. The caulking was discolored and beginning to mildew, as was the shower head. I wouldn’t think of stepping foot in it. UGH.||The bed spreads were stained and spotted. I don’t even want to know with what. The towels and wash cloths were ALL stained, and very thin. The toiletries consisted of two tiny bars of soap. ||There was a coffee pot, but no coffee making materials (e.g., filter, cups, COFFEE). There was an empty basket sitting beside the maker. There were plastic disposable cups next to the ice bucket, but they cannot hold coffee.|Amusingly, there was a tissue holder with no tissues in the main room. There was also an alarm clock that didn’t work—AT ALL (no time, or any display).||I was creeped out crawling into bed. Something bit my leg and raised a small bump (it was down by morning) while I was under the covers. Not terribly surprising since my husband killed spiders in the bathroom earlier. I seriously thought about sleeping in the car. However, my husband reminded me the neighborhood is not the safest.||This is not an inexpensive motel. I have stayed here once before when it was about half the rate, and it was okay. Certainly nothing luxurious, but that was expected. Back then, it was clean, at least. Not now. Maybe it has changed hands? There were 2 very young people at the desk when we came in to pick up keys. It was chaos. They couldn’t find our reservation, and began reading out guests names asking if that was us. Who does that? Finally, they found it, and gave us our key.||The only thing this place has in its favor is its proximity to Art Park. When it is a concert evening, and the better hotel in Lewiston is booked, it is the only game in town. By the way the nicer hotel is actually cheaper, too. Or, at least it was when I stayed there in June 2023.||I will never stay here again. ...
Read moreShabby, but definitely not chic. You know when the pictures show an older no frills hotel, but you give it a shot because you're not spending much time in the room? Well, DON'T with this hotel, BELIEVE THE PICTURES, and it's WORSE. Everything inside the building is grimy, dirty, and unwashed including the carpet, stairs, walls, & doors. NOTHING was cleaned in our room. There was no soap in the room. (How?!?) I asked for but never received soap. The old worn out bedding had hairs and stains. I asked for another set of bedding, and then saw the massive BROWN STAIN on the mattress protector. 🤢 The front desk employee said she didn't have another mattress protector, so she gave us 2 fitted sheets. The replacement sheets had hairs. Sigh. The sink and tub were dirty. Even the do not disturb sign had a disgusting stain. 🤮 I gave the front desk employee MC gift cards to pay for the room, but she didn't use them, LIED and said they went through. She charged my credit card instead. 😡 It's a good thing I'm suspicious and I KEPT all 4 of my GCs, or I would be out $130 (CAD)!! I have NO DOUBT she would have used them herself. 🙄 To top it all off, there was NO BREAKFAST as advertised, not even coffee. I asked a family in the parking lot, and they didn't any bkfst either. The only positive thing I can say is there were no bed bugs, which is a wonder. Seeing as how this appears to be the only budget hotel in Lewiston, owners certainly don't give a rats a$$ and won't hire cleaning staff, replace bedding and renovate. But you...
Read moreThis has to be one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed at anywhere in the world. I need to give credit first. They provided a bed and shower. The quality wasn’t at a high level. The places is well below a Marriott or even a Quality Inn. It is more in line with a lower level EconoLodge. It was dark in the hallway and in the room. The AC was extremely loud. There were cobwebs everywhere. Check out the pictures. ||||The room didn’t smell fresh. If it wasn’t so late in the night we would’ve simply left. ||||The pretty picture of the gazebo was a bit misleading. See the picture. They Saran wrapped the plastic cups! Yeah. ||||My wife ask the clerk if she was the owner and found out she was the owner. We told her our concerns. She said she didn’t know about any of those those issues and that seems implausible. ||||I use a light to see if the sheets are dirty. They provided us with some rather good sheets. There were some spots on them and the top cover. See pictures. The hair was on the sheets under the cover. ||||I’ve written a couple hundred reviews. This one is out of character and deservedly so. Overall, I was extremely disappointed. I would not...
