Dear owners, ||(Whoever you are?!)||Do better.||This location is a wonderful spot. My friend expressed how this was a great place to stay but the property manager, Mike is rude and racist. The “Assistant Manager”, Patty is a compulsive liar and is also rude. Neither of these people are capable or competent for their jobs. Apparently. I have been jerked around with no end being fed Mis-information for two weeks. I wish I could have personally talked to the owners.||||I’d like to start by saying the drinking water was rusted and cloudy. Particles floating with red tints. Not even good running water. I ended up having to continuously purchase drinking water. You’re paying $45 a night to use electricity and simply park.. ||||I stayed for over a month. During that time I could receive no contact information as EVERY employee refused to give any names or numbers to us. ||||I luckily got Mikes number to ask about housing and ask questions. After numerous calls in a span of a week and no reply later… I talked to Patty . Who addressed that Mike was out of town… ||I understood and waited. ||Mike finally answered his phone days later and claimed he’d come down and talk to me personally at my RV. HE DID NOT SHOW OR CALL AT ALL AFTER THAT CONVERSATION!!!|||| 10/6/22 Again I went to speak to Patty, she was nice until I came back from Mikes lack of response. She then claimed that Mike was conveniently out of town again till Monday the 10th at 9 am. ||||Not that it matters- but I came home early from a funeral to talk to this man. Who is NEVER around. Even when you plan a meeting around his behalf. Ridiculous. I’d love to get paid for a job I’m never allegedly around for and get to lie to people all day…||- This man was reported on site by locals. But On “vacation” or “out of town” by the workers… ||||Today 10/10/22 I spoke to Patty again like planned. Mike was not around. Of course. Patty lied and said the campground would be open till the 15th. When we left again she said to come back tomorrow to talk to Mike.||||20 minutes later, A man named Tony knocked on my door and address this morning, conviently after we spoke to Patty, that the water is getting turned off today! What happened to the campground being closed the 15th?!? Tony also claimed that Mike was the one who told him to turn it off. When I asked why it was getting turned off early Tony straight up laughed in my face. Claimed Mike was the one who called him to turn it off. We also had to be off the premises the next day. Tony refused to give any numbers or names either. All of these workers are rude. ||||Moral of the story the owners are paying Mike to not be at the actual camp and have his minions lie through their teeth for him. It’s unprofessional how no one is about to file a complaint or receive by anyones information. You’re losing a lot of...

We picked this location to park our RV for a couple of nights to tour around Lake Placid. It's location was ideal, but all other perks were not so perky. The pool was small and FREEZING and closed at 430pm! The bathrooms for a park of say 30+ campers offered a mens and womens option...but they only had ONE toilet and shower each. I was SO thankful we were the only ones there at the time. We were also given a wi-fi password that did not work and therefore spend our time there without internet. I KNOW we were camping...but I do require a bit of normalcy when we're on the road. SO...if I had to stay there again I would, but otherwise I'd choose to go somewhere else. OH...the lady at the desk was super nice, but didn't have much to offer us about what to do around town. ...

I go to the Lax Tournaments with my family every year the first week in August. The fields are right next door to Cascade Acres. The first 2 years we stayed at the KOA but it was too far away. The next year one of our friends stayed at Cascade so we stopped to visit. The sites were in a circle in what seemed like a small pit, very close together and certainly not welcoming. The mosquitoes came after us with knives and forks. So I decided to get a room in a hotel. This year, I'm going to try Drapers Acres, as the reviews are overwhelmingly superior to what I saw at Cascade. Plus when I tried calling Cascade, not only was there no answer but it sounded like a fax machine...
