34 State - Historic Luxury Suites — Hotel in Town of Skaneateles

I recently stayed at 34 State with a couple of friends. It was our girls weekend away from the Hubby's. We were all thrilled with our accommodations. The suites are large and luxurious. Very elegantly decorated, and were stocked with everything we could have needed, makeup remover, lotions and Aveda hair products which I've never had the pleasure of using before. The common guest areas were also amazing. A pantry stocked with beverages, and breakfast items which we were able to help ourselves to 24/7. There is a fireplace and even a piano to play in the sitting lounge. Hopefully we didn't annoy the owners to much with that (giggle). It's a very short walk to the quaint village of Skaneatelas where we were able to shop for hours. There were many restaurants from fine dining to casual fare all within walking distance. All of that on one of the most beautiful lakes I have ever seen. I just can't say enough about how wonderful our experience was!!!! We will definitely be back. And thank you so much to the very friendly and accommodating innkeepers Jack and Katie. We will completely understand if you put a lock on the piano when we return....

We stumbled on 34 State by accident looking at Skaneateles on Google Maps. So glad we did! We were looking for a "spur of the moment" getaway for a few days. The description and write up caught our attention and pushed us to check last minute availability. Skaneateles, NY is a gem of a place on this beautiful lake and 34 State is a gem within this town. The owner and inn keeper, Katie, was completely factual in her representation of this property. Staying there, just a block from the center of town, on a beautiful, quite, tree lined street, was the perfect oasis. The town is absolutely charming with many shops and restaurants on the northern end of lake Skaneateles. Katie's B&B was first class with she and staff attending to every detail. The 3 room suite was the size of a small apartment, clean, well appointed with comfortable antique furniture and high end bedding. The bathroom, newly remodeled, was impeccable. The house felt like home after spending the day walking around town. Staying there made you feel like a local. We will definitely return, and hopefully get the Barrow Suite again. The beauty and old-fashioned charm of 34 State simply can’t be beat. We had a gorgeous suite equipped with luxurious bathrobes, TeaTree shampoo and conditioner, and many other little things that add up to make your stay magical.||We also really loved the front porch that was just for visitors. I spent some time on the pillow-covered porch swing almost every morning. The professionally landscaped flowers were stunning and added to having breakfast outside.||The complimentary breakfast bar was incredible. We had our pick of coffee, tea, orange juice, a variety of cereals, Greek yogurt, and more. There were also snacks provided that we could grab on our way out. ||The entire home was just stunning. It was like going back in time with the luxury of today added in. If we’re ever back in Skaneateles, we would definitely want...
