Skaneateles Artisans — Attraction in Town of Skaneateles

What a beautiful and fun store to explore! My boyfriend and I were in town for a couple days seeing family and we were excited to explore the village when we got there. We weren't paying much attention to the time when we wandered into the shop. There was so much to look at and I enjoyed trying on all the artisan jewelry! We were definitely taking our time looking at every inch of the store. The woman working was so kind and helpful, and was happy to work with us. When we went to leave after cashing out, the door was locked. The store had closed while we were shopping, and we had no clue!!! We felt so bad for keeping her there late, and she was so sweet about it when we apologized, told us she was happy to be there and help us out. As two people who work in customer service ourselves, we understand how annoying that could be, and we were so appreciative of her excellent service and for her kindness and grace the entire time! 10/10 will be going back every time we are in town, and definitely earlier in the day...

As soon as you walk in you’ll be hooked. There’s something for everyone here, with all kinds of art from 150 New York artists. I’m not a connoisseur but I loved so much of what was in here. I literally could’ve spent all afternoon browsing. And something for every budget, from incredible art to great little things at affordable prices. I bought a handful of cute little hand crafted ornaments from the owners daughter that will go perfectly on my wine racks. This is by far my favorite artisan store in CNY. I wish I had the funds to purchase from each artist in this shop. The owner is a lovely person who truly appreciates and is in awe of each individuals talent. She was wonderful to converse with. I purchased a pair of earrings that I absolutely adore.
